Exploring the many islands in Survival: Fountain of Youth will offer players countless hours of content to venture through, with each region playing home to its own unique flora and fauna. With such a variety on hand, players will need to leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of gathering all the materials they need to not only survive, but thrive in their new environment.

With the game's explorable islands being so enormous, there is a need for players to set sail on their hand-crafted boats to other islands and uncover more mysteries, as well as harvest each island's unique resources. However, hopping from one isolated settlement to another can be quite time-consuming, so it would be beneficial to players to know how to fast-travel in Survival: Fountain of Youth.

Big Branches are one of many essential resources if players want to see another day in Survival: Fountain of Youth. Here's how to find them.

How To Fast Travel in Survival: Fountain of Youth

As players become familiar with their surroundings in the first region of Survival: Fountain of Youth, the Island of Hope, there will come a time when they have the resources and need to explore other areas that the game has to offer. This will require players to collect the materials to build a raft and craft one, after which they can take the helm and start exploring beyond the shores of the Island of Hope.

While this is an exciting prospect for players, as they will be able to explore new areas, determine better locations to set up a base, and discover new materials through the plant and wildlife of a new biome, traveling between islands can be a tedious process. Thankfully, there is a way to bypass this and get to the next location sooner, but you will first need to establish a point of interest to fast-travel to.

To fast-travel in Survival: Fountain of Youth, players will need to construct a dock at any location on an island, provided it is by water and has a clear passage to sail to. By building a dock, you are creating somewhat of a base for your raft to sail to, so, no matter where on the map you are, you will be able to go directly to the dock without having to manually sail. Once it is built, players can fast-travel to the dock at any time by going to the Map, hovering over the dock and pressing the indicated button to fast-travel.

Players need to be at the helm of a raft or boat to fast-travel. If they are not currently controlling a boat, the option will not be available to use.

How To Build a Dock in Survival: Fountain of Youth

In order for players to build a Dock in Survival: Fountain of Youth, they will first need to acquire a Builder's Toolkit, as this is the required resource to not only unlock the structure in the Crafting menu, but also to put it together. Thankfully, players will encounter some Builder's Toolkits on the eastern side of the Island of Hope, next to where Columbus' missing Spyglass is found. Conveniently, this is also an ideal location for players to set up their first base in the game, as well as the perfect environment to build a dock.

To build a Dock, players will need three Builder's Toolkits, which can all be found around the half-built house that the player's captain started constructing. After these have been used, the only other way that Builder's Toolkits can be acquired is by crafting them at a Carpentry Workbench with a Common Log. As the name would suggest, Common Logs are easy to come by, as you will simply need to cut down any tree to acquire one, and will enable players to craft four Builder's Toolkits per log.

With three Builder's Toolkits in hand, players will be able to craft a Dock by simply going into the Crafting menu and selecting the Dock option. As it is designed for mooring ships and rafts, players will need to ensure that they build the structure on water. Simply place the structure anywhere that shows the Dock in green, then interact with it and add each component. The Dock will take one hour and 26 minutes to complete and cost 20 points of durability on the player's hammer, so ensure there is enough time of day and wear in your tools before getting started.
