The well-deserved resurgence in Brendan Fraser's popularity lately has given way to a new Superman fan art. The seasoned actor has enjoyed many roles over the years, despite the horrific treatment he received in Hollywood. But the Superman role eluded him, and one artist decided to remedy that.

The Brenaissance. Fraser's newfound success and, unfortunately, belated appreciation from fans have resulted in a wave of new projects in recent years. But while he's enjoying the love now, there are still some moments from his earlier acting days worth addressing. For one, there's the time Fraser lost the Superman role in a canceled J.J. Abrams film. Fraser seems pragmatic about the situation, but at least one Superman fan couldn't leave it at that.

Artist BobbyArt, who specializes in using Photoshop to imagine different stars in various superhero roles, recently added a new piece on Instagram posing what it might have looked like if Fraser had ended up playing Superman back in the day. But this isn't just a simple copy-and-paste job. The artist manages to create impressive works that genuinely look like official concept art or even promotional images. In this case, the result is a piece of digital art that could have passed for something that tumbled out of an alternate universe where Fraser did play Superman.

At first glance, it appears Fraser is just sporting the classic Superman suit in a similarly heroic pose. But it doesn't take long to notice the little touches, such as designing the "underwear" portion of the suit to look more like boxer briefs than the usual tighty whiteys (or red-eys). Maybe that would be more Fraser's style. As for the man himself, he gets 2 versions in the piece. As Superman, he looks appropriately heroic but still humble, which is exactly how the hero should be. As for his alter-ego Clark Kent, Fraser has some babyface action going on, with the thick glasses and slick hairstyle doing a lot of heavy lifting for the whole secret identity deal.

He, unfortunately, seems to have unfortunate luck when it comes to DC properties. Despite a positive reaction from Batgirl star Leslie Grace on working with Fraser, the film's unexpected cancelation stung many people, including him. It certainly would have been nice to see what he did with the Firefly character. But luckily, he's been seeing plenty of success in other areas, notably winning the Oscar for Best Actor thanks to his incredible performance in The Whale.

Even without the Superman role, It's clear that he has a bright future, with many clamoring for Marvel to cast Fraser in one of their upcoming projects. He suffered terribly at the hands of manipulative and toxic people back in the day, and he deserves nothing but the best now (which he would have deserved even without the suffering, granted). So here's hoping the Brenaissance continues strong for a long time.
