The Frost Elementalist is the biggest challenge to craft into a good hero in Superfuse. The early skills seem to suggest that the character should be a tank or a melee hero, but the character doesn't get the health pool boosts to bolster this strategy. Thankfully, it can become one of the most ferocious casters in the end.

For gamers who are enjoying a different build in Superfuse, do not take this as a mandate. Even at the hardest difficulties, the Frost Elementalist has many different functional builds that are fun to play and effective against opponents. This guide is simply one way that the community is experiencing success with, other builds for the specialization are perfectly valid.

Players for any class will always have to make the choice between sticking with their initial skills and buffing them up or getting new skills down the talent tree but sacrificing their buffs. The build is firmly in the latter category and it's all because Comet is simply too good of a skill to pass up.

There are a few passives that help out, Ice Superior and Cool Headed are indeed some of the best talents for a Frost Elementalist, boosting the damage of Comet, which will become the only spell the Elementalist with this build needs to know. It naturally has no cooldown, allowing players to focus more on damage and energy.

It should be noted that Lucky Looter and Additional Credits are great new fuses to pick up, but once players have all the gear they need, these are the best fuses for actual combat. Also, beware of fuses like Pierce and Ricochet which have nice effects but decrease the skill's damage.

After getting the cooldown-free Comet, Frost Elementalists should focus on getting rid of a second problem: energy costs. With five Energy Cost Reduction fuses added to the skill, Comet can lose 100% of its cost, meaning it can be cast for free with no cooldown.

This is game-breaking. Comet already makes the hero immune when it's in use. Tack on a Stun fuse to make it so opponents can't retaliate after the landing and suddenly the Frost Elementlaist has a 100% immunity uptime. It's only a matter of time before enemies succumb to the barrage.

Gear Stat Priority

F-Tier

All players will be trying to get better gear when they first get to the max level. To that end, Luck moves up to an S-Tier attribute. Once geared, however, it moves down to F-Tier and becomes irrelevant. It's important to note this change as the value will change at different stages of the endgame.

Players, appropriately, often feel like this is one of the worst specializations in the game. Most of the Frost Elementalist's skills don't work as a frontline combatant, some can even block teammates from landing their shots in co-op. But once players unlock Comet, everything changes.

After leveling up quickly and getting to the max level, players can focus on gear that increases their power. Fuses and talents have completely eliminated two of the only issues with being a spellcaster (cooldowns and energy pool). Able to focus entirely on damage, the Frost Elementalist goes from one of the toughest characters to play at the start to perhaps the most dominant endgame hero available.

Superfuse is available in Early Access for PC.
