With credit to the concept of player power in Superfuse, there is really only one class specialist designed to be a tank in the game. While many of the skills in the game can be altered and fused to accomplish a number of tasks, only the Brute Force Berserker can force enemies to attack themselves.
The biggest knock on the Brute Force Berserker is that it's not designed for solo play as enemies will already be focused on the Berserker. But co-op gamers are in for a treat when they play Superfuse with friends if they've got their talent points spent correctly.

10 Leaded Fists
- Increase physical penetration.
Penetration stats usually only help spellcasters, but because the Brute Force Berserker's spells are physical, Leaded Fists increases the effectiveness of every attack the specialization is capable of. Late-game bosses tend to have high resistance statistics, so a few points in this will help out in some of the most lethal battles.
9 Brawn
- Gain physical spell damage per point of strength you have.
Because Brawn isn't accessible until later on, gamers may need to buy a respec to meaningfully invest in Brawn. However, when they do, the combination of this and Superhuman Strength can make the Brute Force Berserker do as much damage as some of the other classes can.
8 Accelerated Healing
- Increase health regeneration.
While prevention is better than remedy, a certain amount of healing is still wise to have in battle. The Brute Force Berserker doesn't have to use a port to escape every situation. Instead, use a Leap, run around for a few seconds, then reengage after Accelerated Healing has taken the Berserker back to full health.
7 Ferocity
- If your current health drops below 25%, damage taken is reduced by 30% and the energy cost of all Brute Force abilities is reduced by 25%.
First, the downside. Because Ferocity is at the end of the talent tree, players will essentially have to forfeit all other passive talents, including the ones on this list. It's still perhaps worth trying to level up quickly for Ferocity because it makes the Brute Force Berserker more difficult to kill when it's in a vulnerable state.
6 Knuckle Dusters
- Increase spell damage and cast speed when using first weapons.
The virtue of this skill sometimes doesn't register on the initial read. Knuckle Dusters increases spell damage and casting speed for all skills when using fist weapons, which should be always. Speeding up spells and casting time makes the player deadly and more responsive, allowing the player to focus on getting new fuses in their inventory.
5 Resilience
- Increase elemental resistance.
Players may be so excited by getting new skills and dealing more damage that they forget about elemental resistance. Then a flamethrower hits the Berserker and fries the hero in one shot. Resilience increases elemental resistance by 15% with a full investment, giving the tank a bit more ability to withstand these special attacks, often employed by bosses and elite mobs.
4 Thick Skin
- Increase armor.
Bonuses to armor are often flat amounts, gained by adding a fuse to a skill. Thick Skin adds armor based on a percentage, allowing it to get so high that virtually anything less than a boss can't deal damage to the Berserker. Plus, it's a passive skill, so the effect is always on, regardless of the situation.
3 Superhuman Strength
- Increase strength.
Increasing strength by a percentage is as good as passive skills get, as strength both increases armor and physical damage. With offense and defense increased by 25% of the player's strength, this means the cap is as high as the gear the Berserker uses, which can get astronomical. This specialization might not be one of the most highly-rated of the characters, but this skill certainly keeps it competitive.
2 Leap
- Leap in the air and create a powerful shockwave where you land.
The game will be long for players who try to play the Brute Force Berserker as a true tank. In boss fights, the Berserker can handle some big hits, but not for more than a few seconds, even with the best gear. That's where Leap comes into play, allowing the hero to escape before being delivered a fatal blow. Leap is also plenty great at initiating contact, taking care of waves of enemies.
1 Provoke
- Release an intimidating roar, forcing enemies to shift their attention to you and weakening their defenses.
The main, and perhaps only reason, to play the Crute Force Berserker is for Provoke. This skill applied a classic taunt to enemies, forcing them to attack the Berserker instead of the Berserker's allies. Additionally, this skill lowers the defenses of the provoked enemies, making them an easier kill for teammates who have better gear.
