Nintendo has just revealed the release dates for the amiibo of two Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighters, Sephiroth and Kazuya. For fans of the Nintendo fighting video game, and these specific playable characters, they can expect to see the amiibos in retail stores and online early next year by January 2023.Most of the game's community will likely recall that the last Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character revealed was Sora from Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts series. This was done last year on October 2021. A month after the DLC fighter reveal, Nintendo made an announcement that it was making its last update to the fighting game. Since then, though the SSBU community has likely still been active online, Nintendo has not made any new content for the title. Therefore, the development team unveiling of the new amiibo's release date seems to come at the proper time.RELATED: YouTuber Ludwig Hosting His Own Super Smash Bros. TournamentOn Twitter, Nintendo announced that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans can expect to see the Sephiroth and Kazuya amiibos in physical stores and online sites by January 13, 2023. That is less than a month away. The Twitter post shared a short video clip of the figures, highlighting the key features of each character. For Final Fantasy 7's Sephiroth, fans will likely appreciate the focus on his one black wing, silver spaulders, flowing silver hair, and iconic blade Masamune. Tekken's Kazuya also has some features covered such as his muscular physique, red boxing gloves, and the fine details on his fighting uniform.

At the end of the short video, Nintendo also showed off the amiibo figures for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate versions of Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles. Unfortunately, no specific release date was given for the characters' amiibos, only that fans should expect them to be released within 2023 as well. Comments on the Twitter thread were hoping that Nintendo would reveal that they were working on an amiibo for Sora, the final SSBU DLC fighter. However, Nintendo has yet to mention producing an amiibo for the Kingdom Hearts protagonist.

With most Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters getting their own amiibo figures, fans are hopeful that Nintendo will be producing one for Sora, too. However, since there is no official news yet from the development team, the player base will have to settle for waiting for the release dates of the upcoming Sephiroth, Kazuya, Pyra, and Mythra amiibo. Hopefully that will sate the fans until the time Nintendo offers something new to the community.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available on Nintendo Switch.
