Fans would be hard-pressed to find a game in Nintendo's library that has such a diverse and legendary cast that it would rival Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It represents not only the company's history but has fighters from several corners of gaming as well. The roster includes some of the most iconic gaming characters in this one game, especially with the twelve DLC fighters that were added after launch. The final of these DLC fighters was one of the most beloved and celebrated additions, Sora from Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts franchise.

The Super Smash Bros. franchise is no stranger to fan-made mods for its characters too, with many creating additional fighters or brand-new costumes for the playable roster. With Sora's release, fans have gone the distance to mod in a variety of other characters from Kingdom Hearts that would work in-game. One character in particular that fans have wanted to be added into the game is Roxas, Sora's Nobody introduced in Kingdom Hearts 2.

A few months ago, one prolific modder known as Joe T.E. decided to mod Roxas into the game, using Sora's appearance in Smash Ultimate as the base. This mod for Roxas is of the same high quality that he is known for. Most notably, instead of simply porting the assets into Smash Ultimate's engine, he painstakingly recreates them to have them fit within the art style and aesthetics of the game. This can be seen in several pictures shared by Joe T.E., as Roxas' clothes, hair, and other details match when compared to Sora.

This mod, like many other mods created by Joe T.E., can only be used with the latest release of the custom firmware to run the mod. While this mod has been around since March, it only included Roxas' outfit when he appears in Twilight Town. The most recent update to the mod gave Roxas his iconic Organization 13 outfit, the black trench coat that is commonly associated with the character. These versions of his outfits are based on how they appear in Kingdom Hearts 3, though they have been scaled according to Sora's proportions in Smash Ultimate.

This update also added a few other smaller fixes, such as the ability to be placed over any of Sora's costume slots, his Boxing Ring title, and more. Many fans praised Joe's work on this Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mod, complimenting him for the polish that went into adding Roxas into the game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for Nintendo Switch.
