Super Smash Bros. Ultimate only has one DLC character left as part of its second Fighters Pass. Its newest fighter, Kazuya from the Tekken series, was announced to be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate earlier this month as part of Nintendo's E3 2021 presentation.

The last spot has led many fans to speculate about which character may be coming. Many fans have also speculated about a third Fighters Pass or a secret final DLC character being added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after the Fighters Pass' conclusion. Regardless of how many more fighters make their way to the game, the Smash community has a lot of vocal choices about a few characters it would like to see added to the game.

Crash Bandicoot

Crash Bandicoot has been a requested character for Super Smash Bros. for a while. Strong cases have been made for Crash to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after the inclusion of Banjo and Kazooie, especially since Activision voiced interest in bringing the character more into the public eye and releasing multiple games for the series - including the N. Sane Trilogy remaster of some of its classics.

Master Chief

no current plans for chief in smash bros

Master Chief is Xbox's biggest mascot from its flagship Halo franchise. The character would definitely stand out from the rest of the game's fighters with his iconic suit of green armor and focus on guns. Many fans were also hopeful since Microsoft and Nintendo have had a good relationship including multiple collaborations in recent years, however Microsoft has confirmed there are no current plans for Master Chief in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate any time soon.

Doom Guy

Another rumored fighter with bulky green armor is the Doom Guy or Doom Slayer from DOOM Eternal. The two most recent releases in the DOOM franchise have seen it return to modern times in a big way, and fans have found a lot of evidence for the Doom Slayer's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It would be a big move for the fighting game to add a fighter from such a mature series, but Bayonetta's inclusion makes this DLC character seem more possible.

Dante

Many fans have also called for Dante from the popular Devil May Cry series to make an appearance. Dante is well known for his incredible combos, wide arsenal of weapons, and sword action, which could all lend themselves very well to an inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Ryu Hayabusa

Many members of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate community have also called for the iconic Ryu Hayabusa to come to the fighting game. Ryu is known for his incredible combat maneuvers as well as an arsenal of weaponry for the developers to draw upon when making his attacks and abilities, and his series was originally a Nintendo exclusive. The rumors were also supported by current Ninja Gaiden developer Team Ninja commenting on the potential for Ryu to come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch.
