Ever since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was revealed at E3 2017, the game has remained a fixture of the Nintendo Switch library. While Nintendo could've simply released Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and left it at that, the company decided to give it the most aggressive post-launch support of any Super Smash Bros. game to date, releasing a slew of DLC characters, stages, Miis, amiibo, and more to significantly boost the game's longevity.

The biggest way Nintendo has kept fans engaged with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is through its Fighters Passes, releasing a surprise second Fighters Pass after it finished releasing all of the characters that were part of the first one. Part of the fun of tuning in to Nintendo events this past year is to see who is coming next to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2, with the second-to-last addition having been revealed at E3 2021.

The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter is Kazuya Mishima of Tekken fame. And while fans were given a brief look at how Kazuya will play in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, they won't get a deep dive until the Sakurai Presents presentation that's scheduled to take place later this month.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Kazuya Reveal Event Date and Time

It was confirmed during the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct that the Kazuya reveal will take place on Monday, June 28 at 7am PT. What exactly this deep dive will entail wasn't detailed, but fans can make a pretty good guess based on how these Sakurai Presents presentations have gone with previous fighters. At the bare minimum, fans can look forward to Sakurai offering a full explanation on Kazuya's moveset in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as has been done with all previous DLC fighters.

While Kazuya and his moveset will undoubtedly be the main focus of the presentation, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans should have more to look forward to as well. Typically, these Sakurai Presents presentations also include the reveal of the DLC character's stage. Kazuya's stage will almost certainly be based on a popular Tekken stage, so it will be interesting to see what exactly makes it into Smash.

Kazuya's moveset and stage will likely be on full display, as will any new music tracks and other Tekken-related content that may be making its way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. With some of the DLC characters, their addition comes with the addition of Mii characters and other content based on their franchise, and since Bandai Namco actually helped with the development of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, one has to imagine that there's a lot more Tekken content than just Kazuya on the table.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Next DLC Fighter

While Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans tuning in to the Sakurai Presents about Kazuya will likely learn about his moveset, stage, music tracks, and potentially an amiibo, what they won't learn about is the next DLC fighter. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has one more DLC fighter it has yet to reveal, and their identity is anyone's guess at this point. It will likely be at least a couple of months before Nintendo pulls the curtain back on them, so fans shouldn't go into the Kazuya presentation expecting to learn about the fighting game's next DLC.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
