Despite the fact that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been out for nearly two years, the community has continued to be active, providing memes, videos, unofficial tournaments, and mods. The volume of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mods is quite extensive, and one of the latest mods allows players to play as an older version of Ganondorf.

The modding community for Super Smash Bros. has accomplished a lot in terms of additional content for fans to enjoy and still continues to create new mods for players to use. For instance, one modder managed to add Among Us characters to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, allowing players to play as whatever characters they want to, even including characters that players wouldn't normally think to play as.

A talented modder named Fewtch has managed to create a skin of Ganondorf based on his appearance in Hyrule Warriors. While Ganondorf is playable in Hyrule Warriors, its sequel, Age of Calamity, is still a whole week away from its release, and has yet to announce a playable version of the character. However, this gives fans a chance to imagine themselves as the Hyrule Warriors version of the character.

Compared to how he looks in Hyrule Warriorsthe mod is incredibly accurate. It almost looks like something that was officially released by Nintendo. The level of detail that is included in this mod is extremely impressive, considering that the mod also applies to the victory animations and Ganondorf's transformation in terms of his Final Smash. Although, perhaps the most impressive aspect of this mod is Ganondorf's aesthetic.

The Smash Bros. Ultimate design of Ganondorf is very reminiscent of the design present in Ocarina of Time. A classic and memorable design to be sure, but it is admittedly a little drab compared to the Hyrule Warriors design that boasts robust purple and gold colors and armor. It definitely brings a new and refreshing look to an already memorable, beloved character.

It truly is amazing to see so many high-quality mods come out of the game, especially considering some of the more weirdly specific mods, such as the mod that added a Pepsi Man skin for Captain Falcon. In a way, it allows players to play as characters that likely would have never made it onto the game in any official capacity. In any case, it will be interesting to see what else the Smash Bros. modding community has in store for its peers.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
