The final character for the first Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass was recently revealed to be none other than Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Almost none of the supposed "leaks" or rumors named Byleth as the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 5, perhaps because most fans assumed that there was no way Sakurai would add yet another Fire Emblem character to the game's roster. However, there was one leaker who did name Byleth as DLC 5, and they have also claimed to reveal the identity of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 6 as well.

Twitter user MandyCan said back in October that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 5 would be Byleth. They also said that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 6 would be none other than Crash Bandicoot, a character who has been mentioned in other leaks and rumors in the past. Having correctly predicted Byleth to be Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 5 gives this leaker a bit more credibility than others, but we can't rule out the possibility that it was just a lucky guess as opposed to genuine insider information. Considering this, fans should still treat this Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leak with a healthy amount of skepticism.

As for when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 6 will actually be revealed, that remains to be seen. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Byleth DLC release date is January 28, so it will almost certainly be some time after that. Maybe more information will come in spring if Nintendo decides to host one of its Nintendo Direct presentations, but it's really difficult to make a determination at this point.

If Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC 6 isn't Crash Bandicoot, it can really be just about anyone else. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster has shown that virtually any character from any video game franchise can show up in the game, even characters owned by competitors. The addition of Banjo-Kazooie DLC is what has really opened the floodgates for any other character to come to the game, so it's hard to say with certainty who will be next.

Hopefully some clarification comes sooner rather than later so Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans can stop guessing about the identity of the game's next DLC fighter.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
