Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans were pleasantly surprised when it was confirmed that the ambitious crossover fighting game would be getting a Fighters Pass Vol. 2, adding six additional characters to the ever-expanding roster. None of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have been confirmed to date, but the first one will be announced sooner rather than later.

Nintendo has confirmed it will be revealing the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character next week. On Monday, June 22 at 7am PT, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans can tune in to a 35 minute video presentation hosted by Masahiro Sakurai that will offer a deep dive into the game's new DLC character, showing off their moves and much more. We already know that the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character will be from ARMS, though their exact identity has yet to be revealed.

One of the most popular theories is that the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ARMS DLC character is Twinbelle, though fans also think that Ribbon Girl or Spring Man will be featured instead. Some have also put forward the theory that the ARMS DLC character will have a variety of characters from that game's roster as its alternate costumes, but that sounds a little too good to be true. The speculation will continue until June 22 when Sakurai finally reveals which ARMS character is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Smash Bros Challenger Approaching

After the ARMS DLC comes to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there will still be five additional fighters added to the game, and they could be just about anyone. We know that fan campaigns won't influence who the characters are since Nintendo has already decided on them, but we don't know who they will be. If nothing else, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster has proven that future DLC fighters could be virtually any character that has ever appeared in a video game.

After all, Banjo-Kazooie is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, despite the characters being owned by Nintendo rival Microsoft. A variety of other third-party characters are on the roster as well, so it's really hard to predict who might be next. But before fans get too concerned with who is on the horizon for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, they will want to tune in to the presentation on June 22 to find out which ARMS character is joining the roster.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
