Give the Internet something pure, and it'll be corrupted within a few days. Super Smash Bros Ultimate's rumored stage builder mode is now here, and while the feature is sure to provide fans of the game with hours of cutsomization, the game currently seems to be getting pretty NSFW as far as community stages are concerned.

Browsing the user-created stages will reveal a mix of wholesome stage creations sprinkled in with a whole heap of raunchy ideas from the depths of the internet. Pretty much every box has been checked so far, from the inevitable phalluses scattered about the browser to more abstract art pieces like "Mario Urinating." While it seems that Nintendo is keeping a careful eye on what's actually being recommended to players, more stages are likely to make it through unless some sort of word blocker is implemented.

Of course, this was all to be expected. The internet has a tendency to corrupt pretty much anything it can get its hands on, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate is a perfect candidate for this type of tomfoolery. The 3.0 Update was pretty major, and Nintendo probably didn't anticipate this issue being the focus instead of Persona 5's Joker being released as a DLC character, but the internet will do what the internet will do.

NSFW SMB Stage

Nintendo will probably implement some type of filter for inappropriate stages pretty quickly. The company prides itself on making a platform that welcomes people of all ages, and this certainly doesn't help with that image. It is somewhat humorous that this issue came so quickly after Reggie Fils-Aime retired from Nintendo, as it may be an interesting test to see how the new CEO responds to the situation.

The stages are pretty funny to glance through, but there are some that push things a little too far. Each one has a hand-drawn look to it, and it's an absurd kind of humor to see Nintendo's biggest stars fighting on top of those types of stages. It likely won't last, but it'll probably be a quick pick-me-up for anyone having a bad morning. There's also the newly announced Pichu Amiibo for anyone that needs a different flavor of morning content.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is available now for Nintendo Switch.
