The indie crossover multiplayer platform fighting game, Fraymakers, has revealed a brand-new assist based on Among Us in its early access trailer. For the uninitiated, Fraymakers is a Super Smash Bros.-like game that utilizes several indie game properties, developed by the team behind the Super Smash Flash fan game, McLeodGaming. Much like its inspiration, it is a platform-based fighting game where up to players duke it out and try to knock each other off the stage. The game was developed and funded through a Kickstarter campaign in 2020, managing to surpass its initial goal and going through several stretch goals such as a Switch port and alternative soundtracks.

This game features fighters from various indie games like Octodad, Orcane from Rivals of Aether, Ultra Fishbunjin 3000 from Slap City, and The Watcher from Slay the Spire. Alongside these playable fighters, players can call upon a variety of assist characters during gameplay, who are all from various popular indie games like CrossCode, OneShot, and even productions such as Newgrounds' Tankman. While Kickstarter backers got a chance to try out the game with a tester build in August, fans will get a chance to try the game in Early Access now, complete with a new assist based on Among Us.

The early access trailer goes over the various characters featured in the game, such as the aforementioned fighters listed, along with the various assists that can be called. Alongside that, it highlights shows that four more characters will be added during this early access period, alongside stages and assists. This includes the #1 most requested assist according to a survey conducted for the game, which adds the Crewmate and Imposter from Among Us.

This assist summons a field around them, where they start fixing the wires like the task from its home game. There, however, is a chance that the Crewmate is actually an Imposter, and if any opponent is caught within this field, the Imposter will execute a kill on the opponent. This move can even attack three players that are within the field, making it a very lethal finishing assist.

This early access trailer also details other features to the game, such as rollback online netcode, along with a custom content creator known as Fraytools. This allows players to create their own customizable fighters, with their own frame data, hitbox, and other technical aspects. This means that even if some players are disappointed that the Among Us content is only an assist in the base game of Fraymakers, they can create their own versions of a playable Crewmate or Imposter.

Fraymakers is available now in Early Access via Steam for PC. A Nintendo Switch version is also planned for release.
