Fans of the Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong Country franchises have finally gotten official details revealed in a new trailer for the upcoming Super Nintendo World theme park land at Universal Epic Universe. The brand-new theme park, expected to open in 2025, will feature a fully-immersive land themed to two of Nintendo's classic IPs and will include rides based on Donkey Kong mine cart levels and a Mario Kart AR experience.

First announced back in 2019, Universal Epic Universe will open in Orlando, Florida, as a third gate expansion to Universal Orlando Resort. Epic Universe will feature five worlds, or lands, including the beloved Super Nintendo World, which first opened at Universal Studios Japan in 2021 and later at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023. The area will feature two distinct sections: Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country. Super Mario Land will feature two rides, Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge and Yoshi's Adventure, while Donkey Kong Country's headlining attraction will be the Mine-Cart Madness roller coaster. Each land will include unique dining locations with themed foods, retail shopping with exclusive merchandise, interactive environmental elements, and meet-and-greets with beloved Nintendo characters.
