Despite being found in the game's very first world, Bulrush Express is one of the toughest courses in Super Mario Bros. Wonder; resulting in a four-star difficulty rating. This is because completing the course requires players to ride a stampede of angry Bulrush, which might make getting the Bulrush Express green checkmark a little frustrating for some players.

To get the Bulrush Coming Through! course green checkmark, Mario Wonder players will need to find three Flower Coins and three Wonder Seeds.

It doesn't help that Bulrush Express also has a secret exit that's locked away behind a power-up, meaning that players will need to plan ahead in order to get the course's final Wonder Seed. Thankfully, however, with a little bit of practice, getting 100% on Bulrush Express shouldn't be too difficult, even for those who are new to the world of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Bulrush Express 100% Completion

As well as reaching the top of one of the course's two flagpoles, players hoping to get the green checkmark for Bulrush Express will need to find three Flower Coins and three Wonder Seeds. All of the purple coins need to be grabbed during the stampede section, while all three Wonder Seeds can only be acquired once it has ended. One is obtained by exiting the course via the secret exit, meaning that multiple playthroughs will be needed for 100% completion.

Bulrush Express Purple Flower Coin #1

To get the first purple coin in Bulrush Express, players will need to perform a running jump shortly after passing the first red pipe with the Super Mushroom power-up inside. If they hit the P Switch just before arriving at the pipe they can follow the trail of blue coins, which should make getting the first Flower Coin a lot easier.

Bulrush Express Purple Flower Coin #2

Around halfway through the course, players will come to an area where they need to jump off the stampeding Bulrush for a few seconds. However, they should refrain from doing so right away, instead, allowing the bulrush to get a little lower so that they can get onto the ledge with the second purple coin on it. Again, hitting the P Switch just before this can make the process a little easier.

Bulrush Express Purple Flower Coin #3

The final Bulrush Express Flower Coin comes near the end of the stampede shortly after players have destroyed the yellow barrels by breaking the Pow Block. If they hit the P Switch just after doing so, they'll see a trail of coins showing them where to jump so that they land on top of the snail-like enemy and reach the purple coin.

Those having trouble with timing their jump can instead ride the stampede past the purple coin and then jump backward using the Parachute Cap badge to control their momentum. They'll die after collecting the coin, but providing they complete the course before running out of lives or quitting, it will still count as having been collected.

Bulrush Express Wonder Seed #1

Players will get the first Bulrush Express Wonder Seed at the end of the stampede section.

Bulrush Express Wonder Seed #2

To get the second Wonder Seed in Bulrush Express, players will simply need to complete the course. To reach the top of the flagpole, they should wait for the snail enemy to move to the side of the brown block, at which point, they'll be able to use the block to gain the extra height that they need.

Bulrush Express Wonder Seed #3 (Secret Exit)

To reach the Bulrush Express secret exit and the course's final Wonder Seed, players will need to reach the end of the stampede section with the Elephant power-up. This can either be achieved by navigating the course while in Elephant form or by storing an Elephant power-up in the item slot and using it straight after collecting the First Wonder seed. Doing so allows players to break through the brown blocks to their right and head into a hidden yellow pipe.

From here, players simply need to drop down and land on the back of the lone Bulrush, which should cause it to run to the right. After reaching the end of the spikes, the Bulrush will jump, at which point, players should do the same, which will give them enough height to reach the top of the flagpole. A Poplin will then come out of the house and give players the third and final Bulrush Express Wonder Seed.

Welcome to the Flower Kingdom! is a great place to farm the Elephant suit power-up, as not only does the course offer numerous ways to obtain the power-up, but it's also very short, with players able to run through it in around 60 seconds.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
