The upcoming Super Mario Party Jamboree is billed to be the biggest Mario Party game to date, and considering how many Mario Party games there are by now, this is by no means an easy task. Although, based on the brief trailer shown off in the announcement trailer for the game at the 2024 Nintendo Direct, Super Mario Party Jamboree is already well on track to live up to this incredible feat.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is set to release on Nintendo Switch in the fall of this year, on October 17, 2024. While there are still many surprises left for this game that haven’t been revealed, the latest trailer gave fans a glimpse of some of the new stages that will be featured in Super Mario Party Jamboree, including a couple of returning stages from classic Mario Party games.

Every New Stage Revealed in Super Mario Party Jamboree from the 2024 Nintendo Direct

New Stages

  • Rainbow Galleria: The Rainbow Galleria stage is a three-story shopping center, separated by one-way escalators. The Event Space for this stage causes a flash sale, where Stars will be temporarily available for half price for the duration of the Event.
  • Roll ‘Em Raceway: From what was briefly shown about the new Roll ‘Em Raceway stage, this stage is a looping, linear stage where players will drive around in some of the signature karts of the Mario Kart games to traverse the board. Beyond this though, the other unique features of this stage, like the Event Spaces, remain a mystery.
  • Goomba Lagoon: Goomba Lagoon will take players around several small islands and a towering volcano that can erupt golden Goombas. While on the smaller islands, players might get stranded by rising tides and have to reroute their path to collect the nearest Star in Super Mario Party Jamboree.
  • King Bowser’s Keep and Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party: These two maps were only briefly shown during the Super Mario Party Jamboree announcement trailer at the 2024 Nintendo Direct, so very little is currently known about them. Although Bowser’s castles are an iconic stage in the Mario Party games, so it’s safe to expect that this map will be similar to Mario Party stages from past games, except with an all-new look.

Returning Stages

  • Mario’s Rainbow Castle: In the original Mario Party, the Mario’s Rainbow Castle stage was a linear map that led players to reach the castle’s tower, where either Bowser or Toad would be waiting. Reaching Bowser would give players a Dark Star and cause players to lose a Star, while reaching Toad would give players the opportunity to purchase a Star. Bowser and Toad would switch places to occupy the tower every time a player reaches the tower, or a player lands on the Event Space.
  • Western Land: This stage from Mario Party 2 has train tracks around the outer spaces of the map, and players have the opportunity to ride the train forward or backward between train stations. Any players caught in the train’s path when it comes by will get kicked back to the start. It remains to be seen if these two returning stages from the older Mario Party games will be altered in any way besides having updated visuals, but it’s assumed that these stages will retain their original features.

There are said to be only seven stages for the standard party mode, though there may be more party board stages added in future updates for Super Mario Party Jamboree .

New 20-Player Koopathlon Game Mode

In addition to the standard party game mode, Super Mario Party Jamboree will also feature a brand new Koopathlon game mode. This original game mode will support up to 20-player online multiplayer and it will have its own, massive stage for players to explore.
