Super Mario Party Jamboree is the newest entry in the Mario Party series. Announced at this week’s June Nintendo Direct, the title once again brings Mario and friends together for a mixture of board game and minigame challenges. Super Mario Party Jamboree is set to offer more content than ever, with various new maps, new playable characters, and brand-new mechanics. However, the most important detail shared during the title’s announcement will take the competition to a new level, as Super Mario Party Jamboree is absolutely packed with mini-games.

Super Mario Party Jamboree transports Mario and friends to an island resort, which spans an archipelago of small themed lands. Each of the islands is a brand-new game board, which features unique mechanics that help or hinder players’ ability to get a star. Star discounts, Turbo Dice, and environmental hazards are just a few of the obstacles players will face as they seek out stars. However, players will need coins if they hope to get a star on their turn, and Super Mario Party Jamboree will see them battling it out in more minigames than ever before to earn them.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Features More Minigames Than Ever Before

Mario Party titles are best known for their minigame selection, which ranges from cooperative puzzles to gruelingly competitive survival contests. Over the years, each subsequent Mario Party title has sought to feature more minigames than the last, with the most recent entry, Super Mario Party, boasting 84. However, the series’ next title is about to blow that number out of the water. In its reveal trailer, Super Mario Party Jamboree revealed that it includes over 110 unique minigames.

Across Super Mario Party Jamboree’s seven different levels, players will compete in a handful of minigames from the largest minigame pool in Mario Party history. While few were on display during the title’s announcement trailer, the minigames shown were fun, flashy, and fiercely competitive. Mario and his friends were shown running from Bowser, rearranging art, flying hot air balloons, robot arm wrestling, and more. What’s more, Super Mario Party Jamboree revealed a new mode, which will see more players participating in minigames than ever before.

Super Mario Party Jamboree New Mode Features 20-Player Minigames

Near the end of its first trailer, Super Mario Party Jamboree revealed a brand-new Battle Royale mode called Koopathon. The new mode will see 20 online players compete in a variety of massive game boards and 20-player minigames. After each turn, players' ranks will be updated, with all 20 players battling it out for the top spot by the time the final turn concludes. It remains to be seen how many of Super Mario Party Jamboree's minigames will be featured in Koopathon, but those shown offered plenty of reasons for fans to give the mode a try.

Super Mario Party Jamboree revealed that the title will feature over 110 minigames, but there’s no telling what the true total will be. Some previous entries saw new minigames unlocked through play, so the number given could suggest the number available at launch. What’s more, that number may not include those found in Koopathon, opening the door to an even higher total for fans to sink their teeth into. Fans hoping to try out every minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree don’t have long to wait before they can visit the title’s tropical island resort, as the game is set to release on October 17, 2024.
