Super Mario Bros. Wonder has many paths that players can take if they'd like to head directly to the castles, but there are also several other courses that they can complete if they try to unlock blocked roads and secret paths.

This guide will show players how they can complete the Rolla Koopa Derby course in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This level can be found in World 1, Pipe-Rock Plateau. In order to get access to it, players must first give ten Flower Coins to the Poplin north of the Poplin Shop. It will remove the large rock standing in the way, allowing gamers to move forward.

Updated November 20th, 2023: There are so many things to collect throughout the Super Mario Bros. Wonder journey, with each level featuring a set of purple coins and more to snag. Some of these coins can be pretty difficult to find if players aren't sure where to look. To better help players find all of the purple coins in Rolla Koopa Derby, the following guide has been updated and now includes a companion video to help players to achieve a 100 percent rating on this level.

Rolla Koopa Derby Flower Coin #1

The course's first Flower Coin is on the second set of musical blocks. There are several rollerskating Koopas there, so gamers must be careful to avoid them. The easiest way to get rid of them is to simply jump on one of them and then use its shell to take down all the others.

There are two blocks on top of the third set of musical blocks; the block on the right will release a floating device once players hit it; gamers can jump onto it to grab ahold of it. This will take them to the sky, and it's here that they will find the second Flower Coin.

In order to get the second Flower Coin players must KO the three pink rollerskating Koopas and the green shell in the middle of the platform. They can do this quickly by grabbing a shell and hitting every enemy in the level with it.

Not long after capturing the mid-course flag pole, players will be able to get the third Flower Coin - it's just past the bouncy platform. There is a block in the wall that gamers can hit with a shell. Thankfully, there's a rollerskating Koopa that's constantly spawning and coming down from above.

Even if gamers aren't able to take its shell on the first try, they can attempt to do it as many times as they want by walking back to the flag pole and returning. The third purple Flower Coin will pop out of the block.

Rolla Koopa Derby Wonder Seed #1

Players must keep moving after acquiring the third Flower Coin, and just up ahead, they'll come across a large tree trunk with a string on it. They must pull on it to get the Wonder Flower to pop out. They can do this by sprinting while jumping near it. Once the Wonder effect has been activated, gamers will have to collect five coins with a flower on them.

Players must walk along the golden paths that have appeared. They will be able to collect a coin (#3) just on the right, by the tree trunk. They can keep moving right, and not too far ahead, they'll spot another coin (#4).

Players should always touch the blue flowers as they go, as they'll show them the way to the closest coin.

Now they must go left once again, and a new path will be clear. This path will take fans higher up, and as they go, they must be careful as rollerskating Koopas will appear every now and then. Gamers must keep moving left until they reach the next coin (#1).

Next, they should turn back and move right - another illuminated path will keep taking them higher. Up ahead, players will see another coin (#5). Lastly, they'll have to turn left, and they'll spot the last coin (#2). Players have to jump in order to get this coin, as the path isn't connected on both sides.

Once they've caught the last coin, the Wonder Seed will appear on top of the tree. They can catch it by taking the bright paths on the right and continuing to ascend until they reach the very top. This will cause the Wonder effect to end, and gamers will fall back down to ground level.

Players will receive the course's second Wonder Seed once they've touched the flag pole. In order to fully complete the level, they'll have to actually reach the top of the flag pole. Thankfully, there is a bouncy platform just by the flag pole that boosts players' jumps.

Players having trouble getting to the top of the flag pole should consider equipping the Parachute Cap badge or using one of the Yoshi characters, as they have the ability to Flutter Jump at any time.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
