The Super Mario Bros. Movie streaming release date for Peacock was announced. Fans of the blockbuster film won't have to wait long to stream the film at home.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was a massive box office success, making $204 million in its first five days and over $1.3 billion during its box office run. The blockbuster film became the highest-grossing video game adaptation and the second-highest-grossing animated film behind Frozen II. The film featured a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and more.

Peacock announced on Thursday that they start streaming The Super Mario Bros. Movie on their platform starting on August 3rd. Peacock will be the exclusive streamer for the film for the time being. In addition to the movie, fans with a subscription to Peacock will get bonus content, including behind-the-scenes interviews with the voice cast, an immersive video field guide, and a lyrical video for the fan-favorite song, "Peaches."

Black's performance as Bowser stole the show, so fans will be excited to gain access to the lyrical video of his song "Peaches" in addition to the film. It is unclear if this lyrical video will differ from the music video released shortly after the film. The video field guide will help to expand on the film through various bonus features.

Although the film was not a huge success with critics (58% of critics score on Rotten Tomatoes), it did well with audiences (95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes). Joshua Kristian McCoy's Super Mario Bros. Movie review for Game ZXC calls it "a straightforward family-friendly adventure packed to the rafters with callbacks and references.” McCoy continued, “It has its upsides, but the film knows its audience and sees no reason to reach beyond it.”

There are two plans if fans want to watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie on Peacock. The first is the premium plan with ads for only $4.99 per month. Fans can upgrade to the Peacock Premium Plus subscription for $9.99 to avoid the ads. Fans can also own the movie on digital, DVD, or Blu-Ray.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be available on Peacock starting August 3rd, 2023.
