Joining The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be a slew of other family-friendly films between November and December on Netflix. Ever! on November 16th, the animated film Leo from Adam Sandler on November 21st, The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday and the Jennifer Garner/Ed Helms body swap comedy Family Switch on November 30th, and finally the long-anticipated sequel Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget on December 15th.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie sees the beloved Nintendo franchise move to the big screen via the animation of Illumination and even Super Mario Bros. creator Shigeru Miyamoto serving as executive producer. Brothers Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) are everyman plumbers in the city who find themselves plunged into the alternate world of the Mushroom Kingdom. There, they become separated, leading Mario to muster his courage and rescue his brother from Black's imposing yet lovestruck Bowser. But he can only do this with the help of the Kingdom's colorful characters, including Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Toad (Keegan-Michael Key), Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen), and more.

It's always nice to have something available to watch from multiple sources because it simply means more people get to enjoy it. That's never a bad thing.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie comes to Netflix on December 3rd, 2023.
