June is rapidly approaching, bringing with it the year's biggest event for game announcements and reveals. And while Devolver Digital may not be seen as one of the biggest publishers of the show, its annual E3 press conference is a cult hit due to its consistent insanity. This year Devolver Digital isn't only putting on its fugue-like E3 experience, however. It's now confirmed that Devolver Digital will also be a part of the Summer Game Fest, bringing with it four big announcements.

In a post on Twitter, Devolver Digital confirmed its plans for this year's Summer Game Fest. Four new games are confirmed, but that's not all. In addition to four new games, Devolver Digital will also be delivering updates on the development of Phantom Abyss, Death's Door, and Shadow Warrior 3. That's seven different games that Devolver Digital will be sharing more information about as part of the Summer Game Fest.

To be clear, Devolver Digital hasn't said exactly how it plans to use the Summer Game Fest to share this information yet. The Summer Game Fest does have a kick-off show scheduled for June 10, where Devolver Digital could show everything. However, the Summer Game Fest will last well beyond the kick-off show, with multiple different follow-up events. Devolver Digital may even hold its own game showcase separate from other shows. Fans will just have to wait for more information to clarify.

What's especially interesting is that Devolver Digital has even more games it could have potentially shown as part of E3 or the Summer Game Fest. Devolver Digital is publishing six other games releasing in 2021 or later. Those games include Eitr, Weird West, The Talos Principle 2, Card Shark, Boomerang X, and Paradise Never. Needless to say, there's a lot to be excited about from Devolver Digital even beyond its planned E3 and Summer Game Fest plans.

As for what those Devolver Digital announcements could be, it's quite the mystery. One noteworthy unannounced project that Devolver Digital is publishing comes from Beans Team, headed by the former creative director of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Otherwise, fans are likely salivating at the possibility of sequels to some of Devolver's past hits like Carrion, Minit, Strafe, or expansions for games like Loop Hero.

Devolver fans won't have to wait long to find out what the publisher's surprises are. The Summer Game Fest kick-off show airs on June 10 and E3 2021 starts on June 12. Seven games, including four new announcements, could make this Devolver Digital's biggest summer yet.
