Different Types of Quests in Fairy Tail

Before we go any further, let’s talk about the different types of quests in Fairy Tail first. A client can usually come to a guild and post a certain type of job/mission/quest for the members of the guild. These quests are ranked based on their difficulty, complexity, and danger level. The ranks are as follows:

  • Normal Quest. A quest that any mage can do.
  • S-Class Quest. A quest that only an S-Class mage or a group of mages accompanied by an S-Class mage can do.
  • SS-Class Quest. A quest that only an S-Class or a group of S-Class mages can do.
  • 10-Year Quest. A quest that hasn’t been completed for over a decade.
  • 100-Year Quest. A quest that hasn’t been completed for over a century.

The Five Dragon Gods

Now that the world has been freed from the threat of Zeref and Acnologia, Natsu and Happy decide that the time has come for them to challenge the legendary 100-Year Quest. Together with Lucy, Gray, Erza, Wendy, and Carla, they set out on a journey to the world’s oldest magic guild, the Magia Dragon.

Once they enter the ruined guild, they are welcomed by the first guild master of Magia Dragon and the giver of the 100-year quest, an old wizard named Elefseria. That’s when they find out the truth about this impossible mission that has taken the lives of so many powerful mages. The quest is quite simple. On the continent of Guiltina, there are five Dragon Gods with power equal to that of Acnologia. They have to seal them away.

“There are five so-called Dragon Gods on Guiltina. You must seal them away.”

— Elefseria, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 2

The Old and the New Faces

Fairy Tail Team Natsu 100 Years Quest

As a sequel, Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest will feature lots of familiar faces that will be instantly recognizable to the fans of the main series. That being said, there are also several new characters that will appear throughout the series. Most of them will be enemies, but there are some allies too.

Returning Characters

Fairy Tail Team Natsu

As mentioned before, the group that will tackle the 100-year quest is pretty much the main cast of characters of Fairy Tail.Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, Wendy Marvell, and the two Exceed, Happy and Carla. Collectively, they are known as Team Natsu. Other than that, numerous Fairy Tail members will also make an appearance, such as Master Makarov, Juvia, Mirajane, and many others.

New Allies and Adversaries

Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest New Characters

There are two main adversaries in this story. The first one is the dragons and their followers. These are powerful beings who command different natural elements, such as water, earth, etc. The second one is a group of people known as the Dragon Eaters. For the most part, these two groups are at odds with each other. This means, including Team Natsu, this will be a three-way battle. As for allies, there’s a new mage joining the Fairy Tail guild, and she will play a huge role in the story. Her name is Touka. Any more than that would be a spoiler, so let’s leave it at that for now.
