The Slugger tree offers more to players wanting to get in close and cause damage with their baseball bats and mallets, granting increased melee damage, knockback chances, and rewards for getting in close with high shield harvest resources and quicker regeneration of traversal attacks. The Run-N-Gunner line sees a combat style that focuses on Harley's movement and traversal equipment, dealing more damage from the skies, whether that be in the air or swinging from the drone, and bonuses from attacks that follow up slides and evades, granting her a much more mobile style of play. While certain players may gravitate to the other Squad members for having more traditional and easier-to-master traversal powers, other gamers will come to realize that Harley's grapple and Bat Drone are the best traversal equipment in the game.
Though many gamers may struggle to get to grips with the grapple and Drone at first, the possibilities it provides once mastered allow for some of the most fluid and combat-infused traversal on offer. The grapple allows for more traditional Arkham-style movement by zipping players up to buildings and allowing them to use that momentum to overshoot once at the top. Aiming to keep that traversal going, the Bat Drone acts as a new grapple point, allowing Harley to grapple to it and propel herself even further, whether that be reeling towards it to increase her speed, or constantly zipping to grapple points to reposition herself in fights. It's an essential piece of her kit for not only getting around the city but also giving her plenty of routes in and out of fights.
