Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League features many mechanics that players of the Batman: Arkham series may otherwise be unfamiliar with. Each playable character in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has an intricate set of movements and combat experience that pairs well with the personalities that DC Comics fans will recognize, but there are some consistencies throughout each character, and that’s the ability to slide.

Sliding is a great way to stay on the move and negate bullet damage by going faster than enemies can shoot, and it can be a pretty tough trick to pull off if players do not know the exact timing. Sliding is important for those who want to move fast and keep their momentum up when traversing Metropolis, completing Riddler’s AR Challenges, or trying to combat the Brainiac-infested Justice League.

How To Slide

Part of the combat flair that players will have to master is a slide, and it’s a tad finicky than other games with this mechanic. All players need to do to slide in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is to jump with the X/A button, and then the moment before you hit the ground, click-in L3. This will initiate a slide, which builds momentum to go quicker. Players can repeat this step infinitely to constantly slide. As players can see from the video, to initiate a slide, players must first be in the air. Then, a split second before the feet hit the ground, players need to click-in L3. When they want to initiate another slide, simply jump, and once the feet hit the ground again, click-in L3. It can be a tad difficult to get the timing right. Still, once it’s mastered, it becomes second nature, and sliding around Metropolis will feel great, especially when players are pairing it with their other mobility items, like Captain Boomerang’s Speed Force gauntlet, which will have him zipping and running around Metropolis in a flash.
