A player on the newly-released Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has discovered a clever Easter egg to a past Batman universe game in Gotham Knights. The newly released shooter from Rocksteady takes a new spin on the established universe of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham games, acting as a follow-up to 2015's Arkham Knight. The game throws players into the perspective of the anti-heroes, taking control of characters like Harley Quinn and Deadshot to take out a brainwashed Justice League. Now, fans are discovering a fun homage to Gotham Knights within the game.

Released by WB Games Montreal in 2022, Gotham Knights saw players thrown into a Gotham City devoid of its iconic Dark Knight. With the storyline quickly killing off Batman, players are tasked with protecting the streets of Gotham using a combination of Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. The DC action RPG received mixed reviews from fans, criticizing its story and combat despite the game receiving some praise for its co-op gameplay. Now, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League includes a fun tribute to the past adventures in Gotham City.

The release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League marks a milestone for DC's iconic "caped crusader" as one of the last roles to feature longtime voice actor Kevin Conroy. Conroy lends his voice to a more villainous interpretation of Batman in a posthumous role, following his unfortunate passing in 2022. Conroy's Batman still has two more projects yet to fully release, with Conroy lending his voice to Batman: Caped Crusader and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3. Kevin Conroy first portrayed the Dark Knight in Batman: The Animated Series and was a mainstay in the role for nearly 30 years.
