In turn, transforming heroes that are usually the stars of the show into Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's boss battles. So, just how well do these iconic DC heroes hold up as boss fights?

5 Brainiac

A Re-Flash

A screenshot of Brainiac from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

While Brainiac might not be the worst final boss fight gamers have encountered, he's certain to be an option for many as one of the most disappointing final boss fights to grace their screens. After taking down all the corrupted members of the Justice League, gamers head on out to fight one of the multiple Brainiacs to put a stop to his invasion.

Being the final boss, many gamers may have hoped for a challenging multi-layered brawl that has them putting all the skills they've used throughout the game to test. Instead, they're met with a souped-up version of the Flash fight, this time with a bulkier health bar, more minions to kill, and some additional support from Gizmo and Ivy. Players will face off against the transformed villain as he dashes across the map, needing a counter shot to open him up for more damage. He'll then return to the center of the arena, shielding himself and summoning a horde of minions to deal with. Though the minions aren't too challenging, players will want to make sure they eliminate as many as possible, as any remaining will be sacrificed and used to restore a portion of Brainiac's health. All in all, it left the finale feeling underwhelming, with a sense of wasted potential.

4 Green Lantern

Constructs Everywhere

Green Lantern preparing to fight the Suicide Squad in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

Being the first corrupted member of the Justice League that Task Force X encounter, many players may expect Green Lantern to be the game's first boss fight, too. Although he is marked on the game's map from the get-go, players will need to progress in the story a fair bit to get themselves kitted out with weaponry capable of killing the corrupted Lantern.

DC: Most Powerful Green Lanterns, Ranked

The Green Lantern corps is a key part of the DC universe and powerful characters have emerged from this group, but which members are the strongest?

"In brightest day, in blackest night, no squad member will escape my constructs might." That may be paraphrasing, but John Stewart's Green Lantern boss fight is more than just a will-powered glow show. The ensuing fight will find players tussling with constructs of turrets, helicopters, and an unhealthy helping of mines. Players will need to damage enough constructs to drop Green Lantern's shield before unloading as many clips as possible into him, and then repeat the process. It's an enjoyable fight and one that can see players overwhelmed if they don't keep on top of Lantern's constructs.

3 Flash

Fastest Man To Die

Suicide Squad Killing Flash

Like many superheroes, there are plenty of heroes to take up the mantle of the scarlet speedster, but Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's corrupted Barry Allen is no joke. Rocksteady did a great job of bringing the Flash to life in the Arkhamverse, so much so that many gamers out there can see the hero shining in his own video game.

When the corrupted Flash emerges, there's plenty to be feared, as the hero seemingly takes a beating only to appear behind Lex Luthor having ripped the heart straight from his chest, only hyping gamers up for the real challenge when they take on the cold-blooded killer version of the Scarlet Speedster. Being the fastest man alive means the fight revolves heavily around catching the corrupted speedster as he zooms around the map, and landing a counter shot on one of the few Flashs charging an attack to grant an opening to unload into the hero. Soon, he'll be causing speedforce tornadoes that'll tear across the arena, hindering both players' vision and damaging them if hit. It's a fun take on the Fllash's powers, and it delivers a rather strong boss battle.

2 Superman

Minerals And Bullets

Superman battling the Suicide Squad in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

Though many gamers may be hoping that the evil Superman trope finally comes to an end after Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it's hard to deny that the god-level superhero is an imposing force when his heroic constraints are removed, and he's allowed full reign of his immeasurable powers.

DC: 8 Surprising Characters Who Have Beaten Superman

Superman is known as one of the most unbeatable superheroes in either Marvel or DC, but some surprising names have victories over the Man of Steel.

So it probably comes as no surprise that the battle against Superman is no easy feat, though, like all fights on the list, it can be made easier by the level of gear players are entering the fight with. After Task Force X is kitted out with the newly constructed mineral of Gold Kryptonite, the team head out to finally defeat the Kryptonian. The fight itself plays out similar to the Flash fight, having the hero zip around the map and the Squad unloading on him when he comes to a stop, though Superman has plenty more tricks up his sleeve. Gamers can expect to see him getting up close and personal with a hulking vehicle, as well as dishing out plenty of area-of-effect moves that'll require the Squad to keep their distance while fighting, all while keeping the hero pumped full of Gold Kryptonite to stand any chance of damaging him. Depending on gamers' levels and gear, this fight can be seen as the most challenging boss battle on this list, but in terms of the best, that entry belongs to another League member.

1 Batman

Fight Your Fear

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League Batman Boss Fight

Possibly surprising most gamers out there will be how prominent Batman is in the game, with his voice being the most used throughout the game, ordering Brainiac's goons and commenting on the Squad's movements. For eagle-eyed gamers out there, players can catch Batman on rooftops across the city studying and surveying Task Force X as they go about completing their assigned missions. This means that when the Squad finally gears up to take on the world's greatest detective, it gives players the sense of dread that they're going to be coming up against a fully equipped and prepared Batman.

The boss fight against Batman is broken up into two parts, with the first part asking gamers to creep through the batcave while it is filled with fear toxins, and while they are hunted by Batman. It's a refreshing change of pace from the looting and shooting of the bosses before, and it also does a good job of putting players back in that uncomfortable seat of being stalked by a relentless Batman. Soon after accomplishing this, the squad is transported to a flat arena with a nightmarish Batman towering in front of them. The boss fight at this point returns to the game's run and gun combat, as players will need to avoid shockwaves, heated beams, and targeted attacks to defeat him. The fight itself is fairly easy once gamers understand the patterns, but in terms of design and execution, there's no denying that Batman is the best boss battle in the game, or at least... so far.
