Highlights

  • Harley Quinn's traversal in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is the best due to its versatility, speed, and ability to be chained into combat combos.
  • Deadshot and Captain Boomerang have excellent traversal abilities that are easy to master and provide good directional control.
  • King Shark has the most straightforward traversal method, making it beginner-friendly but lacking complexity compared to other characters.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has received quite a lot of criticism on its road to release, which may have had an impact already on the rather low concurrent player numbers on Steam. Despite this, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League can reach high highs when it comes to its gameplay loop, and that's not counting possible updates and future additions through the planned four seasons.

A good part of the engaging combat formula for Rocksteady's new live-service title comes from the various squad members' traversal methods, as they can be chained into combos and enhance the overall experience. However, not all of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's traversal methods are the same, and some can be more effective than others depending on a few factors.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's four squad members all have their unique traversal methods, and this tier list ranks them by how effective they are when mastered, as well as how they can be interwoven into the gameplay loop.

S Tier - Why Harley Quinn's Traversal is The Best

Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League can start out as the least intuitive character of the bunch specifically due to her traversal, which is not beginner-friendly and takes a while to get the hang of. The traversal method for her uses Batwing and Batman's grapple gun, which have multiple components to keep in mind, as players can grapple to Batwing and dwindle across the map, grapple to it to reach a specific high point, or overshoot to go above obstacles. All this takes a while to learn, but once players do, it's the best traversal in the game thanks to how versatile and fast it is, and how easily it can be chained into combat combos to get the most of any build.

A Tier - Deadshot and Captain Boomerang Take Traversal to Another Level

Both Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's Deadshot and Captain Boomerang have amazing traversal abilities that players can immediately get a grasp of, and both have good directional control when mastered. Deadshot uses Gizmo's jetpack to move around Metropolis, but players can truly make the most out of it with traversal-specific talents that increase how much fuel the jetpack carries, for example, increasing travel time and distance. However, Deadshot is still dependent on landing every so often, and even aerial combat can feel tiring to micromanage.

Likewise, Captain Boomerang's traversal is also quite good, but not exactly perfect. Using Godspeed's Speed Force Gauntlet, Boomerang is incredibly fast, and his traversal can feel like one of the best in the game due to its performance. Yet, it may be hard to aim exactly at the location one intends to travel to considering how the camera works.

B Tier - King Shark's Traversal is Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's Most Straightforward

Unlike every other character, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's King Shark has the most beginner-friendly traversal method thanks to how simple and effective it is, granting an initial boost and then allowing for three additional air dashes. On top of that, Shark also has the ability to jump up high, which he can then use to drop down onto enemies to deal damage to them and start combos. Despite this, King Shark's abilities are fairly immutable, only truly improving via talents, whereas what players see as soon as they try the character is pretty much all there is to the traversal's complexity. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but for those who want a challenge and something to use to rain destruction on enemies, it can be a bit on the basic side.
