One of the more exciting parts about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League besides being able to potentially fight the League is the fact that this will be the group’s first appearance in the Arkhamverse. Instead of gradually introducing each member of the League at a time, Rocksteady has decided to end its eight-year hiatus with a huge game. Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern, and the Flash compose the corrupted team of heroes in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at present.

The fact that they are all costumed in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League seems to suggest they are all currently active as well. It appears as if Wonder Woman is the only member without a boss fight in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League since she does not exhibit the same Brainiac corruption as the others, but it will be exciting to see what boss fights could potentially look like against the other four League members. In particular, John Stewart’s Green Lantern should already be set to have the most creative fight of all since he is able to construct anything imaginable as a green manifestation.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Green Lantern Should Be a Dynamic Boss

suicide squad (2)-1

How Task Force X is meant to approach head-on conflicts with the Justice League should already be carefully considered, especially if Amanda Waller’s ARGUS organization is involved and wants to succeed. Of course, Task Force X is nicknamed the Suicide Squad because they are ultimately disposable resources. That makes them more empathetic as a result even if individually they have plotted against their respective cities and harmed innocent people.

Either way, it would make sense for Task Force X’s employer to aid them in any way possible, which is probably why players have access to Gizmo’s technology and the Penguin for whatever he provides for them. If Waller and her team are constantly in the player’s ear the entire game, it would be great to hear that kryptonite is available somewhere in Metropolis in order to weaken Superman, for example, or that there are other potential vulnerabilities Task Force X can exploit from the League.

Superman’s abilities are dominant yet predictable, and the Flash is thwarted so long as he cannot move or is deprived of oxygen. However, Green Lantern might be much more difficult to subdue and potentially kill since he has an infinite well of imaginative constructs that literally rest at his fingertips, which should make his boss fight incredibly interesting and dynamic.

How Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Green Lantern Could Look in a Fight

suicide squad (1)-2

Green Lantern has been somewhat hidden in the background of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League trailers with only a few quick glimpses of his character. He was initially seen walking down green steps that he constructed beneath him and sitting on a throne construct. One glimpse of John showed him with his arm forward firing large minigun constructs that sat suspended in midair, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s State of Play gameplay trailer showed a couple more blink-and-miss-it shots of him doing the same.

Green Lantern seems to be firing upon Task Force X, with King Shark pulling Deadshot to safety, as well as a swarm of drones that approach him. This suggests that a lot of Green Lantern’s manifestations will involve firepower in his boss fight, and players could be busy destroying a horde of miniguns or other weaponry that is thrown at them.

This will hopefully not be all that Green Lantern uses in combat, though, since his unlimited imagination and insurmountable willpower could be remarkably creative while Brainiac invades his mind. Green Lantern is known for more whimsical constructs like giant fists, massive flails, and other miscellaneous items, for example, and it would be fantastic to see him launch an entire train at players instead of only creating firearms.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
