10 Infamous Second Son
There was a time when Sucker Punch Productions used to be known mainly for their Infamous series, which was definitely amazing in its own right.
Their efforts to bring the series over to the PS4 culminated in the creation and release of Infamous Second Son — a great title that definitely does justice to the series. This title brings over a large swath of unique superpowers that can definitely be quite a blast to use.
9 Sunset Overdrive
Before being known as the studio behind the inception of the brilliant Marvel's Spider-Man, Insomniac Studious was mainly known for the brilliant work they did for developing Sunset Overdrive.
The fluid movement and combat featured in this game are one of the major reasons why they were the perfect studio to carry forward this development experience over to the web crawler's swinging and fighting mechanics.
8 Saints Row IV
There was a time when the Saints Row series was nothing more than a way to ape the success of the Grand Theft Auto series, without really bringing anything new to the table. However, Saints Row: The Third aimed to change this notion somewhat by prioritizing ridiculousness and player fun over everything else.
This design ethos was carried forward to Saints Row IV, allowing players to experience a title where the main character — who just so happens to be the President of the United States as well, on top of everything else — attains superpowers. The result is nothing sort of absolute carnage and chaos... although one has to admit that the game does get somewhat easy as a result of these superhuman abilities.
7 Gravity Rush 2
Perhaps one of the most underappreciated titles out there, Gravity Rush is a series that deserves way more praise and recognition than it's currently getting. Featuring a unique mechanic and an inventive open-world, the second Gravity Rush title was absolutely incredible and should definitely be played by people who like their games to be more imaginative as opposed to familiar.
It's a shame that Sony has effectively ended the operations of Japan Studio since they were at the helm of this game's development. Hence, a sequel to Gravity Rush 2 seems all the more unlikely now.
6 Prototype 2
Prototype is another series that has been fairly underground since the launch of the first two games in the series. While the story and characters of the title aren't anything to write home about, the superpowers that players can experiment around within the title are definitely notable.
Prototype 2 ends up taking everything that was integrated into the game and cranking it all the way to the max, allowing for a spectacular adrenaline fest as players mowed down mobs of enemies with their incredible superpowers.
5 Crackdown 2
Another title that uses the concept of superpowers to great effect is Crackdown 2 — a title where players control a super-powered soldier who can accomplish massive feats of strength and agility with the greatest of ease.
It's a shame that Crackdown 3 failed to live up to the hype of its predecessor, which was a fun romp from start to end and featuring some really exciting gameplay and art direction to boot.

3 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Of course, it would be impossible to talk about games featuring superheroes without mentioning the brilliant Spider-Man titles made by Insomniac Titles. The latest game in the series, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, ends up being a wildly entertaining ride that polishes everything that was included in the first Spider-Man game.
Controlling Miles in his first stint as the savior of New York is definitely a blast, with his electrical powers adding another layer of depth to the gameplay as well.
2 Batman: Arkham City
Rocksteady's titles have always proven to be brilliant in every sense of the word, and Arkham City serves as the perfect example of why this is the case. The game serves as a massive improvement over its predecessor, featuring an engaging open-world and a story that will keep fans hooked all the way to the very end.
Of course, it would be impossible to talk about the Arkham trilogy without mentioning the final game in this brilliant series...
1 Batman: Arkham Knight
While the initial reception to Arkham Knight might've been fairly mixed — mainly due to the poor PC port and the focus on the Batmobile — there's no denying the fact that the game has ended up accruing more of a positive reception over time, with the game aging like a fine wine.
Batman has never looked better, and the story of this title definitely lives up to the lofty Arkham name in every sense of the word. The Batmobile segments are also engaging and make for an enjoyable break from the usual gameplay loop that the Arkham series had become famous for.
