In Subnautica: Below Zero, the Arctic Spires is a mysterious biome full of danger and mystery. Here, players can find large deposits of resources and raw materials, as well as a few aggressive creatures. The game's release trailer showed players a glimpse of the region, depicting it as a frozen landscape with huge ice shards jutting from its sheets. But in order to gain access to the Arctic Spires, Subnautica players will first need to repair the bridge connecting it to Glacial Bay.

When examining the Bridge Control panel, players will come across a warning message that says, "Attention: Check Fluid Levels." If they check the Maintenance Access Point Panel behind them, players will notice that there are four slots. However, the final slot is empty. For the bridge to function properly, there needs to be a fourth container of Hydraulic Fluid. But first, players must search for the blueprints.

How to Get Hydraulic Fluid to Extend Bridge in Subnautica Below Zero

As with crafting other Subnautica tools and equipment, players will need to locate and unlock the blueprints in order to learn the recipe for crafting the material. To do this, players must first locate one Hydraulic Fluid fragment. Finding the fragment is a fairly simple task, as it can be found at the player's feet. While standing directly in front of the empty slot, players will notice a Ruptured Hydraulic Fluid container on the ground. Pull out the scanner and scan the empty container to collect the fragment for the Hydraulic Fluid.

After this, the player will receive the blueprint for the Hydraulic Fluid. The recipe calls for 1x Creepvine Seed Cluster and 4x Gel Sacks. If the player has collected enough of these materials, then they will be able to craft the item immediately. Otherwise, they may need to do some exploring first. Creepvine Seed Clusters can be found in the Arctic Kelp Forest, while Gel Sacks may be found in a range of biomes including the Purple Vents, the Lillypad Islands, and the Deep Twisty Bridges.

Like with many other craftable tools and materials, the Hydraulic Fluid can be crafted using the Fabricator. The player should then return to the Maintenance Access Point Panel on the bridge in the Glacial Bay area. Install the final Hydraulic Fluid into the empty slot to restore the fluid levels. Once again, examine the Bridge Control panel. The warning message is gone, and the bridge is now operational. Select the "Extend" button to connect the bridge and access the Arctic Spires.
