While those who have attained the title of gods hold immense power and possess frightening techniques, other characters have also forged their paths to might and become renowned for their abilities.
From the prodigious swordsmanship of Eris Boreas to the magical prowess of Roxy Migurdia, different characters have unique strengths they have utilized to propel themselves to the pinnacle of power. Here are the strongest characters in Mushoku Tensei, with the gods excluded.

10 Sylphiette
Sylphiette is a childhood friend of Rudeus who is part elf, beast, and human. She befriended him when he saved her from a group of bullies; since then, little Sylphiette has gone a long way. While being taught magic by Rudeus, she picked up voiceless incantation of magic from him and is the only other person capable of using it in the show.
After being transported to the Silver Palace by the Teleport Incident, she takes up the alias of Fitts and becomes the bodyguard of Princess Ariel. She became the most feared student at Ranoa Magic Academy, capable of using Disturb magic and King rank water magic.
9 Roxy Migurdia
Roxy is a talented mage from the Migurd clan of the Demon Race. She is an adventurer and traveling magic tutor who taught Rudeus Water Magic. After the Teleport Incident, she helps Paul search the world for the survivors and his family. She is also a graduate of the Ranoa Magic Academy.
She is a King Rank Water Mage, a Saint Rank Fire Mage, and is Advanced Rank at Earth, Wind, and Healing Magic. She also has a skill that shortens the incantation needed for mighty spells.
8 Ghislaine Dedoldia
The fearless Ghislaine is a very talented swordsman from the Beast Race, the mentor of Eris and Rudeus in swordplay, and the student of Rudeus in magic. She was also the student of the Sword God Gal Farion and is one of the few people to become a Sword King.
She is a Sword King and has mastered many sword styles, and she possesses a demon eye that allows her to see the flow of mana in people, which helps her predict an attack. Her enhanced senses and elementary-level fire magic are also pluses for her in battle.
7 Eris Boreas Greyrat
Eris Boreas Greyrat is the hot-headed cousin and former student of Rudeus Greyrat and Ghislaine Dedoldia. She has immense potential in swordsmanship and was also taught by the Ruijerd Superdia and the Sword God Gal Farion.
She had always been a child prodigy and is capable of the Sword God and North God styles and also achieved the rank of Sword King and North Saint. She can sense even the flow of mana with her incredible senses. She impressed Gal Farion so much that he offered her a chance to become Sword God by challenging him to a battle.
6 Auber Corvette
Auber is known as one of the Three Swords of the North God, a nickname given to those who have attained the level of North Emperor. He is a man who does not believe in honor on the battlefield and will not hesitate to strike down his opponent when their guard is down. He also taught Eris the North God style.
He is an expert at stealth techniques and prefers to strike his opponents without confronting them. He carries a host of equipment, which he uses to cause diversions to distract his opponent, enabling him to counter and evade them. He is also a master swordsman capable of taking Eris and Ghislaine on.
5 Ruijerd Superdia
Ruijerd is the former head of the Superd clan, a group of warriors well known for their rampage during the Laplace Wars. After the Teleport Incident, he accompanied and trained Rudeus and Eris throughout their journey across the Continent.
Being the strongest Superd warrior, he has undergone a lot of training. He is said to be stronger than Ghislaine and was strong enough to block an attack from the Sword God Gal Farion. He is also very durable and is a master of stealth. His third eye also helps him locate opponents not in his vision field.
4 Atoferatofe Ryback
Atoferatofe Ryback is a Demon from the Immortal Demon Clan and is said to be the Demon Lord who grants the gift of strength. She is North God II's wife and is also the mother and mentor of Kalman III, the current North God. She is immortal and can survive being decapitated and obliterated.
Before being taught the North God style by her husband, she was already one of the strongest Demon Lords, only losing to a Dragon or North God. She has insane reflexes and can react to split-second decisions without being entirely sober.
3 Kishirika Kishirisu
The Great Demon Empress of the entire Demon Continent is one of the strongest characters in the series. Kishirika is also a member of the Immortal Demon Clan and the Demon Lord, who grants Demon Eyes. She occasionally helped Rudeus during the story and gave Rudeus his demon eye.
She can control, produce and give out demon eyes. She was also the leader of the Demon Race in the first two Human-Duemon Wars to ascertain their superiority over the Human Race. The extent of her power is unknown, but her tales suggest she was fearful.
2 Rudeus Greyrat
Rudeus Greyrat is the titular protagonist of Mushoku Tensei, who continues to grow and impact everyone around him. He is the pioneer of voiceless incantation and has taught magic to many people. He was born with a strong Laplace factor, which describes his affinity for magic at a young age.
His Foresight Eye and Clairvoyant Eye, given to him by Kishirika Kishirisu, help him see slightly into the future and very far away. He is at Emperor level at Water magic and Saint level at Earth, Wind, Fire, Healing, and Detoxification magic.
1 Perugius Dola
Perugius Dola is the Armored Dragon King and one of the Seven Great Heroes who defeated Demon God Laplace in the Laplace Wars. He is the only God-level character who did not get the title. He lives in the floating castle Chaos Breaker where he patiently waits for the revival of Demon God Laplace.
Perugius is a master of Teleportation Magic, possessing teleportation circles worldwide, which he uses for instant transportation to and from his castle. He can create two Dragon Gates, which can drain mana and battle aura. His Armored King Hand Sword is strong enough to decapitate and kill an Immortal Demon.
