PlayStation VR is still getting new experiences, including a parkour action game called Stride. Though PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan has said the real future of VR is still a ways off, the device is steadily getting support from developers like Joy Way.

For those who may not have heard of Stride before, the game released back in September 2020 in Early Access, receiving very positive reviews from players. Now, the official PlayStation YouTube channel has uploaded a new gameplay trailer for Stride that confirms the game is coming to PlayStation VR this year.

The trailer breaks down the various gameplay elements and modes players can experience in Stride. Notably, Stride is not just about running and jumping across cityscapes, but also has players do some light first-person shooting with various enemies placed around the course. It's clear that there's some Mirror's Edge inspiration bleeding through with Stride, which is far from a bad thing. Additionally, players can play three different, distinct modes that offer unique gameplay experiences and challenges.

Players have the standard Endless Mode, which is an infinite level generator with tons of varied terrain to parkour around. Players can also tackle the Arena Mode to refine their shooting skills by taking on levels with enemies scattered about. Finally, the Time Run Mode lets players race against the clock to earn the best time on a given level. Though no specific release date has been announced for Stride, it hopefully won't be too much longer before PS VR owners on PS4 and PS5 can parkour to their heart's content this year.

Stride is available on PC in Early Access, and is coming to PlayStation VR sometime in 2021.
