Capcom is giving gamers a chance to try out Street Fighter 6 before its release. 2023 is looking to be a great year for fighting game fans, with a good amount of titles and DLC releasing soon. This includes DLC for Guilty Gear Strive and the next Mortal Kombat title.

One of the biggest fighting game releases coming this year is Street Fighter 6. The title will be one of the many June game releases, starting off the summer for many fans of the genre. Though the game has already had a beta this year, players will get another chance to play the next entry in the legendary franchise before it drops.

Capcom announced that a demo for Street Fighter 6 will let gamers try out the title sooner than later. The demo is currently available for PS4 and PS5, and will come to PC and Xbox Series X/S on April 26th. The trial will allow players to try World Tour mode along with a few modes in Fighting Ground. The demo will also grant gamers access to the Avatar Creator in Street Fighter 6, which allows players to build their own character. Avatars built in the trial will carry over to the full version of the title, though any progress made in World Tour mode will not.

It was also revealed that four DLC fighters will be released during Street Fighter 6's first year. The four characters are Rashid from Street Fighter 5, a newcomer named A.K.I., Ed from Street Fighter 4, and Street Fighter villain Akuma. Rashid will release in the Summer of 2023, A.K.I. in Autumn of 2023, Ed in Winter of 2024, and Akuma in Spring 2024. The fighters will appear in the World Tour mode and will have their move sets available for custom-made characters.

Earlier this year it was announced that Street Fighter 6 will be at EVO 2023. It will be one of 8 titles at the event, which also includes Guilty Gear Strive, King of Fighters 15, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. EVO 2023 will take place August 4-6 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, the venue that usually hosts the tournament. It will be a great chance to see the beginning of the competitive scene for Street Fighter 6 soon after its release, as the event will be the first major outing for the title. It will be good to see the game's early meta and hopefully some great matches that fans can enjoy.

Street Fighter 6 will release for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on June 2nd.
