The World Tour mode in Street Fighter 6 has a few RPG elements like the skill tree and Experience Points. For the first time in the franchise’s history, players can roam through city streets in the semi-open-world environment of Metro City and battle random NPCs to level up and become stronger. However, collecting XP is not that easy.

Although the first few battles grant a big chunk of EXP, leveling up becomes much slower toward the end of the story. SF6 players are therefore looking for reliable XP farming methods to max their Avatars out as fast as possible.

To help Street Fighter 6 fans level up, this guide offers five endgame tips and explains how to maximize XP gain while farming.

What Is EXP in the World Tour Mode?

In Street Fighter 6, EXP is a reward mechanic that enhances an Avatar’s battle skills. As players fight NPCs and complete missions, they earn Experience Points that let them level up and become stronger.

The World Tour mode also has a rewarding system for each Master’s technique called Style EXP. These points are collected independently by utilizing the Special Moves and Super Arts of that particular guru. (After maxing out a Master’s technique, players can transfer extra points to another character.)

How to Farm EXP

To farm the maximum amount of XP, eat Chicken Curry and fight gang members at night. It would also help to complete side quests of each battle and defeat special high-level enemies.

Leveling up in Street Fighter 6 gradually becomes harder. But as players advance the story, they get to access crowded areas with sturdier enemies that give more Experience Points. Suval’hal Arena Entrance, for example, has level-50 NPCs that can max out an Avatar quickly. With that being said, here are five proven methods for leveling up faster.

Eat XP Booster Foods

Eateries of Street Fighter 6 sell unique foods that grant time-limited Experience Point boosts. Eat them before starting a farm session to double the gain.

The best World Tour foods for EXP farming are French Fries, Specialty Biryani, Pumpkin Pie, Deluxe Chanko Stew, and Chicken Curry.

Check Battle Details in Advance

Each challenger in the World Tour mode offers a set of side quests. Before starting a battle, press Y (Triangle on PlayStation) to see these tasks and get them done to double the gained XP.

Luckily, most battle challenges are easy to complete and include basic objectives such as hitting the enemy with eight high attacks. But players will still need to advance through the first few chapters to farm challengers’ EXP.

Tackle high-level NPCs in each area first because they offer more rewarding challenges.

Farm EXP at Nights

To farm more XP, switch to nighttime in the Hangout before battling Metro City gang members. At night, all streets are filled with outlaws that would attack players as soon as they show up. These enemies are easy to knock out and give enough points to max out a character. For an added boost, stock up on booster foods like Deluxe Chanko Stew and eat them right before leaving the Hangout.

Note that nighttime XP farming is quite dangerous as more gangs are on the streets, and high-level enemies are likelier to attack. Ideally, players must unlock a few Special Moves in advance so that the gang members can’t surprise them.

Defeat Special Enemies

Unique citizens like Watcher in Beat Square grant extra Experience Points. Find and defeat them to level up quickly.

Special enemies are distinguishable by their costumes. Look for strange-looking NPCs around Metro City and challenge them for a chance to earn thousands of XP.

After defeating special enemies, spend a day at the Hangout to force-spawn them. If changing the time didn’t work, quit the game and log back in.

Fight a Master’s Students

All martial arts students in Masters’ training spots reward players with extra XP. Battle them in the gyms to get additional points. It’s also a good idea to clear the gyms’ surroundings as there are often high-level NPCs around.

Fight each Master’s student with their own style to squeeze out more Style EXP while collecting normal Experience Points.

Street Fighter 6 is available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
