Street Fighter 6 has many ways players can connect and battle for bragging rights. When fans start the game up for the first time they will be asked to create a Capcom ID. This is a relatively painless process that is essential to playing online. Once completed, the game will automatically tie the new Capcom ID to the player's Steam/PSN/Xbox Live account. This will generate a fighter profile where fans can create a new username and receive a unique player code.

The Battle Hub is a new area in Street Fighter 6 where players can fight with their custom avatars and play classic Capcom games. The hub also acts as an area where fans can hang out and meet new people. This guide will show how to play online with friends in Street Fighter 6.

Playing With Previous Friends

Players can go into the Fighting Ground and start a custom room with friends. The default friends list will be populated with all previous friends added to the platform players are using. Fans can edit the rules and how many players are allowed in a custom room. The room can also be made private to friends or public to all, and a password can even be set to keep it exclusive.

Players can use whatever methods are necessary on their console/PC to invite friends into the game. The custom room menu allows fans to view invitations along with a browser for any available games that friends are currently playing. Street Fighter 6's Custom rooms are crossplay enabled as well.

Meeting New Rivals

In Street Fighter 6's Battle Hub and online play, every player has a unique Fighter Profile. Fans can view these by checking replays and recent fighters, or by walking up to a player in the Battle Hub. The Fighter Profile contains a username and user code along with fighting statistics. Players can go to the default friends list and switch to the Street Fighter 6-only friends list.

On that page search by username or input user codes to view a player profile. Fans can send friend requests or follow the best fighters to see their stat breakdowns. This way players can make new friends outside their respective consoles and play against them regularly using crossplay. If players are looking for privacy they can hide their usernames and user codes in all public areas in the privacy settings.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
