Street Fighter is one of the most successful fighting game franchises of all time. For over 30 years, Street Fighter has featured some of the most iconic characters in video games. Characters like Ryu and Ken have solidified themselves as some of the video game's greatest fighters, but Street Fighter is still introducing the world to new heroes and villains of their universe.

With the upcoming release of Street Fighter 6, fans are speculating how many new characters will make their first appearance and how many returning characters will come back, but one thing that people may forget about is guest characters. Guest characters from other franchises have been very popular in fighting games recently, and it'll be interesting to see if Street Fighter joins in on this popular trend.

6 Kazuya

Kazuya is one of the main characters from the Tekken fighting game series. He was the main protagonist of the first Tekken game but has been a major antagonist in every game since except Tekken 3. Kazuya is the son of another Tekken legend Heihachi Mishima and is determined to exact revenge on his abusive father. Kazuya would transition nicely into the Street Fighter world considering he is from a fighting game himself.

He has already made contact with some Street Fighter characters in the crossover game Street Fighter X Tekken. Also, Akuma (a Street Fighter staple) was actually a guest character in the last Tekken game, so it would make perfect sense for Street Fighter 6 to feature an iconic antagonist from the Tekken world.

5 Scorpion

Scorpion Mortal Kombat X

Scorpion is the mascot and one of the main characters of Mortal Kombat, the brutal fighting game series. Scorpion has been featured in every mainline Mortal Kombat game and is one of the most recognizable characters in all of gaming. He's a ninja that was resurrected with evil magic after his entire family and clan were butchered by Sub-Zero.

Scorpion uses his expert fighting skills and demonic powers to do anything he can to get revenge for his clan's murder. Scorpion would be a great addition to Street Fighter because of his deep fighting game history. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter have never had the chance to crossover and now would be a perfect time for them to finally meet each other.

4 Wolverine

Wolverine is the legendary Marvel hero and one of the leaders of the X-Men. He's been featured in dozens of different comic books, movies, television shows, and video games. Wolverine is hundreds of years old and possesses incredible mutant powers like accelerated healing and retractable claws.

Capcom has proven that Wolverine fits well in the fighting game genre by including him in many of their games in the past like Marvel vs. Capcom, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel Super Heroes. Considering Wolverine has met Street Fighter characters in a few of these crossover games, it wouldn't be a stretch to add him to Street Fighter 6.

3 Morrigan

Morrigan is one of the main protagonists of Capcom's Darkstalkers fighting game series. Morrigan is a succubus from the 1600s with a playful and mischievous attitude. Being an S-class demon, she possesses a vast amount of powers and abilities including teleportation, flight, and shape-shifting.

Darkstalkers is one of Capcom's most beloved but still underrated franchises. It's been many years since fans have had a Darkstalkers game so including Morrigan in Street Fighter would be a nice treat. Chun-Li actually had a Morrigan skin in Street Fighter 5 so Capcom has shown that they still have love for her character.

2 Leon Kennedy

Leon Kennedy is one of the main protagonists from the Resident Evil franchise. He was the primary character in Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil 6. Leon was a Raccoon City police officer who fought through dozens of infected and saw the destruction of his city in the initial outbreak. He now works as an anti-BOW agent, using his combat skills and biohazard knowledge to serve his country.

Street Fighter has never included characters outside the fighting game genre before, but Leon would make for a great first step. He comes from another Capcom game, so they would have no problem getting the rights. Also, characters from Resident Evil have been in other fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom so they have shown that they know how to adapt these characters to the genre.

1 Mega Man

Mega Man is a video game legend from the iconic Mega Man video games. Mega Man is the titular hero of the franchise filled with side-scrolling action. He's been featured in dozens of games over the years and is basically the mascot of Capcom. Mega man is no stranger to fighting game crossovers either. He's been in many crossovers like Marvel vs. Capcom and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Mega Man also had a bizarre appearance as the box art version of himself in Street Fighter X Tekken. To top it off, Ryu had a Mega Man skin in Street Fighter 5. Fans know Capcom loves to show off its most famous hero, so adding him as a playable character in Street Fighter 6 wouldn't be too unexpected.
