Capcom has revealed the release date of Street Fighter 6's first DLC character, Rashid, along with a brief demonstration of his gameplay in a new trailer. The game initially launched with 16 world warriors to choose from, which included many returning veterans and newcomers. That said, the initial Street Fighter 6 roster was criticized for being a bit on the small side. Capcom was quick to follow up after the game's launch, announcing the first season of DLC fighters. While some release dates have been shuffled around, the first DLC character of the season will be Street Fighter 5's Rashid, who debuted as part of the previous game's launch roster. Hailing from Saudi Arabia, Rashid uses social media to vlog and stream his bouts and is now on a journey to "find the meaning of strength." He's also known for his incredible acrobatic feats, which were on full display in Street Fighter 6's latest trailer.RELATED: Street Fighter 6 Mod Brings Back Power Ranger RyuThe beginning of the Street Fighter 6 trailer shows off Rashid executing a variety of his parkour techniques. It then shows off Rashid's moves, where much like his Street Fighter 5 incarnation, he is a tricky fighter with incredible mobility. He can control the flow of the fight with an aggressive fighting style, with some of his moves propelling him forward or generating a tornado like attack. Fans will be able to play as the turbulent fighter on July 24, 2023.

The trailer also makes a point to showcase Rashid's character, presenting him as one of the nicest characters of the extensive Street Fighter universe. Much like the other characters, Rashid has an alternate costume in Street Fighter 6, with his being based off of his Street Fighter 5 debut. Players can also earn a variety of Fighting Pass rewards based around the character up to the DLC's launch.

Despite the popularity of the character, Rashid was also a high-tier bane among competitive players in Street Fighter 5's metagame, due to his aggressive move set and hard to counter maneuvers. Some players joked that while they were happy with his inclusion, they know they'll have a hard time playing against him online. With Rashid's release near the end of July, there are only three other DLC characters for Street Fighter 6 of this season left.

Street Fighter 6 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
