This data was collected by Reddit user geco_420, who created a helpful chart showing the most popular characters in Street Fighter 6 so far. The data from the chart was taken from the game's official website based on character rankings and Capcom IDs. 454,453 Capcom IDs were part of the sample size, with Ken taking the top spot followed by series mainstay Ryu, Cammy, Marisa, Manon, Juri, Zangief, Luke, Jamie, Dee Jay, JP, Kimberly, Chun-Li, Lily, E. Honda, Guile, Blanka, and Dhalsim.

  1. Ken
  2. Ryu
  3. Cammy
  4. Marisa
  5. Manon
  6. Juri
  7. Zangief
  8. Luke
  9. Jamie
  10. Dee Jay
  11. JP
  12. Kimberly
  13. Chun-Li
  14. Lily
  15. E. Honda
  16. Guile
  17. Blanka
  18. Dhalsim

Some Street Fighter fans may be surprised to see Dhalsim ranking so low, especially since he is considered one of the better fighters in the game. Besides that, Dhalsim is also one of the longest-running characters in the entire franchise, having first appeared in Street Fighter 2, so it's a bit shocking that some of the newcomers are proving to be more popular than him.

Speaking of newcomers, geco_420 pointed out that the numbers for Street Fighter 6 cover star Luke may be inflated. It was pointed out that Luke is the default option for the game, meaning he's getting credit for those that aren't actually playing Street Fighter 6 online. Geco_420 estimates that this could be giving Luke an extra 1,000 Capcom IDs, but taking those away from the number wouldn't impact Luke's ranking either way. He would still be well away from passing Zangief and would still be about 1,000 ahead of Jamie.

It's possible that the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters will change as more fans get their hands on the fighting game. Something else that could disrupt the rankings is Capcom adding more characters to Street Fighter 6 as DLC. Even so, Street Fighter 6 fans shouldn't expect the rankings to change all that much.

Street Fighter 6 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
