Finn Wolfhard has confirmed that the cast of Stranger Things remains in the dark about Season 5 ending and expresses how he wants the series to end.

A recent report by Looper has revealed that the titles of six of the eight episodes of Stranger Things season 5 may have been uncovered. The titles also suggest that Mike Wheeler might be in grave danger in the next set of episodes. As per the report, the second episode of the fifth and final edition of the Netflix series is titled The Vanishing of [SPOILER] Wheeler. Although it might also mean that Nancy Wheeler might be Vecna’s next target, there have been several rumors about Mike being the villain’s victim.

Stranger Things Mike Wheeler

There are a lot of reasons why Mike might be in danger in Season 5. Firstly, he, along with the group, has foiled Vecna’s plans to take over Hawkins. Also, in the final few episodes of Season 4, fans saw Nancy getting caught by Vecna. At that time, Vecna got inside her mind and showed her what he could do. One moment particularly stood out, in which, Nancy saw how Vecna would destroy the entire city. Additionally, she also had the vision of her entire family being dead in the destruction. Even though there is a possibility that Vecna wanted to torture her by showing such scenarios, it wouldn’t be shocking if this does come true and some of her family members die while protecting Hawkins. After the conclusion of Season 4, a lot of people complained about Mike’s behavior. Fans believed that he was rude and didn’t care about anyone’s feelings. Two of the things that Vecna might use to torture Mike and eventually kill him.

One more reason why Vecna would eventually attack Mike is to hurt Eleven. In the final battle, Eleven and his friends were able to defeat Vecna and return to their homes. There’s no doubt that Eleven is Vecna’s nemesis and he would do anything to inflict pain on her. Also, Stranger Things is known for killing characters that people fall in love with. Whether it was Bob or Eddie, the makers didn’t shy away from slaying characters that developed an emotional connection with the fans. Fans might think that Mike was rude, but that doesn’t deny the fact that he sacrificed a lot of things to be there for his group, especially Eleven. Although it hasn’t been confirmed if Mike is the one who will be vanishing in the rumored second episode of Season 5, things are looking bleak for Mike.

As of now, there’s no release date confirmed for the fifth and final edition of Stranger Things. However, reports indicate that it might arrive on Netflix in 2025.

All four seasons of Stranger Things are available for streaming on Netflix.
