With fans finally getting a tiny first look at the upcoming season 4 of Stranger Things last week, the buzz for the Netflix hit show has only intensified. In a new interview with Maya Hawke, she gives those busting to see the next season even more reason to be excited.

In the interview with Collider, which was technically to promote her new film Mainstream, she is asked when they will finish production of the newest season of Stranger Things. Though she can't disclose that, she does say that this season will be worth the wait. She says that though they have taken a lot of time with this season, and it has been a long wait, every person involved has been mastering their craft. She mentions that an intense amount of detail has been paid to the script and story, as well as the acting.

As Hawke discusses this season and why fans should be excited, it's easy to see that she really believes what she's saying. Her face lights up and she starts talking with her hands, getting very expressive, so it's pretty promising news. As Stranger Things has developed so many passionate and excitable fans, it's reassuring to see that the people involved in making it seem to be just as excited.

Every season of Stranger Things so far has been immensely successful. In its first, it became the third most successful season of a Netflix Original series and by its third, it was breaking records. It follows a group of people, primarily a group of school-aged friends but also their families, who are experiencing different kinds of alien-like and multidimensional activity in the 1980s. Basically, a bunch of strange things. All seasons have received very high viewership, a lot of acclaim, and it's the source of a ton of fan culture and cosplays.

Nothing too much is so far known about the upcoming season, and it's very much like Netflix to keep a tight grip on info about their projects. Stranger Things has taken a very long time to come out though, and based on this interview it seems like that time has been used wisely.

The longer the season takes to come out, the bigger the hype, hopefully. Among all of the secrecy, one thing is for certain: fans are very impatient and desperately want to know what happens next with this story. Maya Hawke says "it's gonna be awesome," and the audience can only hope that's the truth.
