Every season of Netflix's Stranger Things has added new characters, scary new villains, and fast-paced storylines that have made it impossible to stop watching. Fans are eager to watch the fifth and final season to see where the sweet, powerful Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her friends end up. While it seems likely that they will be able to save Hawkins, Indiana from destruction, anything could happen, as there are always big surprises on this popular series.

From Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Jim Hopper's (David Harbour) relationship to the fate of Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink), there are many questions that need to be addressed in season 5 of Stranger Things. Fans have opinions about what should happen to wrap up this beloved story.

Stranger Things Season 5 Should Keep Eleven And The Party Together

Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in Stranger Things season 4

Eleven's best Stranger Things quotes prove how sassy, spirited, and smart she is, and fans want to see more scenes of Eleven and her friends in season 5. While season 4 was a well-crafted group of episodes, one major problem was Eleven and the other main characters were split up for a good amount of time. It was fun to see underrated Stranger Things characters like Chrissy Cunningham (Grace Van Dien), but it was also sad not to see the sweet, moving dynamic between Eleven and the others.

Season 5 needs to ensure that The Party is always working as a team to protect Hawkins and to secure a better future. It's definitely possible to include funny new side characters like Argyle (Eduardo Franco) while still keeping the main friend group together.

Joyce And Hopper's Relationship Needs To Progress

Joyce and Hopper in Stranger Things

The saddest part of season 4 of Stranger Things was seeing Joyce and Hopper apart. While it's great that they reunite, they not only need to remain a couple in season 5 of the hit Netflix series, but their romance needs to go to the next level. Maybe by the series finale they can get engaged or even get married.

Since the characters have expressed their feelings for each other, the "will they/won't they" dance has gone on for a while, and it feels like it's time for Hopper and Joyce to commit. Given that these aren't the characters likely to die in season 5 of Stranger Things, good news for the couple seems possible.

Sadie Sink's Max Should Survive And Help The Party Save Hawkins

Episode 9 of season 4, "The Piggybank," sees Max in a coma, unable to hear or see her friends, who are desperate for her to wake up. Eleven feels guilty and responsible and wants nothing more than for her good pal to be okay again. Sadie Sink doesn't know Max's fate, and every fan definitely wants Max to survive. This death would be way too devastating, and given the grief and pain that Max has felt over her brother Billy's (Dacre Montgomery) passing, Max deserves a happy ending.

Hopefully Max will wake up in the first or second episode of Stranger Things season 5 so she can be part of the action. Viewers want to see this spirited and intelligent character helping The Party face Vecna and figure out how to make Hawkins a safe and happy place to live once again. If she spends the whole season in the hospital, that would be a shame.

Stranger Things Season 5 Should Introduce A New Villain

Vecna in Stranger Things

The practical effects look awesome on Vecna, and learning his backstory is fascinating. Still, it would be cool if a new villain was part of season 5 of Stranger Things since that would level up the story for the final batch of episodes. Maybe this is someone who has been working secretly behind the scenes up until now, or perhaps they are brand new. Either way, given the terrifying creatures in Stranger Things, this seems like it would be possible.

While viewers expect epic battle scenes and scenes that comment on the tension between good and evil from a show like this one, the Stranger Things villains are also important because they prove how strong Eleven is. Time and time again, she's able to save herself and her friends, and that's memorable and powerful.

Stranger Things Needs A Happy, Satisfying Ending (And Mike And Eleven Need To Stay Together)

David Harbour spoke about Stranger Things season 5 and got fans excited, as he had only positive things to say. It can be tough to craft a truly perfect series finale, as fans have high expectations and creators want to make sure that they're telling the story they want to tell while keeping people pleased. No matter what happens in these next episodes, the final episode definitely needs to give the main characters a happy ending.

Season 5 will have a time jump, which feels inevitable and logical given the fact that the young cast is growing up, and it seems likely that the series finale might offer a glimpse into the future. Hopefully the main characters will go to college and start a new, calmer life. But no matter what happens, fans would be upset if Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) and Eleven broke up, and it makes sense to conclude Stranger Things with this popular couple still in love.
