The following article contains spoilers for Season 4 of Stranger Things.Following the release of season 4 volume 2, Stranger Things fans have not taken Eddie Munson's (Joseph Quinn) death lightly. Fans of the series have taken to social media to share how upset they are with the Duffer brothers for killing off their new favorite character.

As Stranger Things fans know, Eddie Munson sacrficed himself by drawing a colony of bat-like creatures away from his friends. Now, Eddie Munson stans (an Internet term for fans) have reached new levels of anger due to recently deleted Stranger Things video, where the cast bid their farewells to the character.

Now privated by the official Stranger Things and Netflix India YouTube channels, the Stranger Things cast took part in a press junket that gave Eddie a pretend funeral. Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Priah Ferguson, and even Quinn himself all gave eulogies for Eddie and shared how much he meant to them. Normally, Netflix avoids posting spoilers for the first few weeks of a show's release, so this type of promotion already seemed off to fans. However, confusion was not the only emotion fans of the hit series were feeling.

Following the release of the video, fans were outraged. Re-uploaded by Strange Things on YouTube, fans were able to share the video and express their disdain for the new promo. "What--the--f*** is this @Netflix?! *crying with angry red face*," one fan tweeted with a clip of the video. "It feels like they're making fun of us, it's such bullsh**," another fan replied. Many fans feel as though Netflix and the Duffers are mocking those who are upset about Eddie's death, leading to the outrage sparked by the now-deleted video.

However, other fans have a different theory. Some seem to think that the video was taken down in order to prevent a firm confirmation that Eddie is dead. Many Eddie Munson stans (many of whom jokingly refer to themselves as "delusional") think that the Duffers are going to find some way to bring the character back for season 5, due to the outrage sparked by his death and the fact that Quinn has shared his desire to come back for another season. "[Netflix] is doing this to throw us off hopefully," one fan tweeted in response to the deleted video.

While the Duffer brothers have neither confirmed nor denied any of these rumors, many fans hope to see Eddie return in some capacity during Stranger Things season 5. If Billy (Dacre Montgomery) can make a ghostly appearance during season 4, many hope that Eddie can do the same.

Stranger Things season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
