Now that Stranger Things Season 4 is officially in the books, there are new details about what went on behind the scenes trickling out. One bit of info in particular, is that one of the more iconic scenes of the latest installment of Stranger Things was unscripted and unplanned, until one of the stars did an ad-lib.

Part two of Season 4 of Stranger Things actually had quite a few moments that are likely going to stand out from the pack. There were plenty of moments that felt as though they were putting the finishing touches on the show, despite the fact that the Netflix show is getting a Season 5. While the team is planning on just what might happen with the next and final installment, if one big scene that was unplanned is any indication, it might be best to let the actors steer more of the story's direction.

Over on Twitter, the writers for Stranger Things let it be known that the scene where Hopper and Joyce kissed once they were reunited was not actually in the script. In fact, it appears that David Harbour and Winona Rider came up with the idea to finally put an end to the Hopper-Joyce "will they, won't they" the show had been building for a couple of seasons.

It appears that the actors certainly know what the Stranger Things audience wanted in Vol. 2 as the scene has been quite celebrated. Of course, there are some fans of the Netflix series who seem a bit annoyed that one of the most touching moments of the year was not something that was planned.

One of the fans on Twitter asked if any of the show's best moments were actually written and planned by the people behind the show. The angry comment then asked what exactly the writers were getting paid to do if the actors' were improving scenes that fans have found the most enjoyable.

Of course, it hardly seems fair to claim that the actors on Stranger Things are behind all of the best moments. The fourth season of the Netflix show has had plenty of important moments. Most of the episodes, especially the last two are quite a bit longer than devoted members of the audience are used to seeing. There were plenty of some of those beloved moments that were actually planned from the jump. It just turns out that Harbour and Ryder knew one particular part of the show need an exclamation point.

Stranger Things is currently available to stream on Netflix.
