With only a few weeks left until the launch of Square Enix's Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, the game's developers have been updating the public with new details and information. Aside from talking about Final Fantasy Origin characters the player will eventually interact with, features such as locations and enemies are also being shared. Now, Square Enix has dropped a new set of in-game screenshots that give gamers more sneak peeks of what to expect in the upcoming action RPG.

Though Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin offers a more modern take on the battle system with its action-packed, real-time gameplay, it still retains many elements typically found in titles from the Final Fantasy universe. This includes incorporating familiar jobs like the Red Mage class and the lore of the Warriors of Light that pops up time and time again across different games in the franchise. However, since Strangers of Paradise seems to be geared towards the darker, more violent side of Final Fantasy, fans will likely be enticed to try out the title.

On the official Square Enix site, the team published a blog post that shared new screenshots and details about Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. In the post, a new enemy named Marilith and an ambiguous race called the Lufenians were revealed. The devs also shared images of new locations in the game such as Mount Gulg, The Ancients' Tower, and The Wicked Arbor. Though all of the screenshots look very finished and detailed, Square Enix did not share exactly when or where these items will be featured in the title.

At the bottom of the post, more on the job system of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin was also shared. This includes taking a deeper look at a variety of announced classes such as the Void Knight, Dark Knight, and Ninja. Each of these classes were identified as Expert Jobs that have their own unique abilities. For example, the Dark Knight class will be able to sacrifice HP to deal more damage with its unique action souleater. For the Void Knight, the class's unique action runic will deploy a magic circle that neutralizes and absorbs enemy magic attacks.

As the release date of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin draws nearer, the gaming community is likely excited to see another Final Fantasy title out in the market. Given that there are no updates about Part 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Remake yet, fans are probably itching to play a game that brings them back into the FF universe.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches March 18, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
