A Wonderful Life was originally released in 2004 on GameCube under the title Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. It was one of the best-selling Harvest Moon games of all time and the series spawned and inspired countless other life sims like Stardew Valley or social network games like FarmVille. Due to a licensing dispute around the game, it was later renamed Story of Seasons in 2015 and publisher Marvelous has been releasing these games under that title ever since.

Throughout the trailer, the protagonist learns how to tend to his farm while he grows closer to Cecilia. The two get married and have a son who slowly grows up, learns to work the farm and also falls in love. One of the last scenes of the trailer shows a now old protagonist lying in bed and looking out the window, seeing his son with the woman he loves. It reminds him of the time when he was young and met Cecilia. The trailer ends with the protagonist and Cecilia holding hands, and being happy with the life they made for themselves. The book then closes, and the release date is revealed to be June 27.
