1 Know What Carries Over To NG+

Stats You Do Not Need To Worry About

Players who finish Stellar Blade for the first time will get one of multiple endings. Multiple playthrough in the game ensure players can obtain all the endings one by one. But even if they're eager to see a different ending, players who finish the game may be unsure if all that progress gets wiped out when they start the New Game Plus.

When players start a new playthrough, some features carry over to the next run, making a second playthrough much faster. These features include:

  • Current HP, EXP and gold.
  • Skills and Drone Upgrades.
  • Outfits, Exospines, Gears and Accessories.
  • Documents, Logs and Cans.
  • Rechargable Tumblers.

2 Try The New Difficulty Mode

Raising Curtains For A New Challenge

Among the things that New Game Plus unlocks, the first noticeable aspect is a new difficulty mode. NG+ unlocks a more difficult Hard mode for players who want to take the Stellar Blade experience to another level.

While NG+ unlocks hard mode, players can still opt for the normal difficulty for their next playthrough if they wish. The Hard difficulty steps things up from the regular game, so only players ready for the new challenge should choose it.

3 Collect Outfits

Dressing Fashionably In The Wasteland

EVE and the Drone in Stellar Blade-1

Outfits are one of the biggest highlights of Stellar Blade. They might be just cosmetics for characters to wear, but giving a variety of them enhances the user experience positively, giving players a choice to dress their character according to their own taste.

Rockstar Games' classic Red Dead Redemption 2 gives players tons of outfit options. Here are the best outfits in the game.

The game features a variety of outfits for players to try on, and it doesn’t end with the game. NG+ unlocks a bigger variety, starting with a new Raven outfit. Players will receive this piece regardless of the ending chosen.

Players should be on the look-out for outfits on NG+. Many outfits that players find in their first run may have a NG+ variant with a new color. Players who didn’t find the base outfit in the open world on their first run will obtain the base variant of the outfit in NG+.

4 Collect Vitcoins...To Collect Outfits

The Main Currency For Costumes

Spotter Merchant Shop Menu in Stellar Blade where players can sell gear items to buy vitcoins

Vitcoins is a type of currency in Stellar Blade, which are primarily used to buy cosmetics for the player character Eve. Vitcoins have a few other uses, like activating some resting areas, but they are mainly for buying cosmetics.

NG+ comes with a wide variety of ornamentals for Eve, and these come at large prices. With outfits costing a huge amount of vitcoins, it is hard to obtain them all. To make things easy, players can go to Spotter, a merchant who becomes available after the first run. Players can find him in the scrapyard in the Wasteland and can exchange Vitcoins with him for leftover upgrade materials.

5 Use Beta Skills

Skills Can Go To Infinity

There is always room for growth, and NG+ in Stellar Blade is a perfect example of this statement. The abilities players upgrade in their initial playthrough are further upgradable in a second playthrough. NG+ also unlocks the infinite version of Beta skills. These are the more powerful version of the base skill, and come with a unique attack animation.

These infinite skills further increase the power of players’ attacking abilities, dealing further damage to enemies. Players going for their NG+ should make sure to unlock these skills to have an extra edge over the enemies in the next run to make things easier.

6 Understand Exospines And Gears

Enhancing Abilities Further

Stellar Blade: Second Exospine

Abilities are not the only things that are upgradable in New Game Plus. The same rule applies to other items like exposines. Exospines are equipments that players can equip on Eve to further enhance her combat abilities.

Players can find the enhanced version of these exospines in NG+ when exploring the desolated world for the second time. Similarly, players will also come across better versions of gear items in the subsequent run. Be on the lookout for the Mk2 version of the exospines and gear items to get an explosive combat boost in NG+.

7 Use Swords And Tumblers

Extra Numbers On Attack And Heal

Nothing is purposeless in New Game Plus in Stellar Blade. The game is well-designed, as it rewards players for re-exploring the area and obtaining items or item upgrades. Just like abilities and exospines, the main weapon in the game, the sword called Blood Edge, is also further upgradable. In NG+, players can level the sword up to level 40 from level 15.

While the damage with each upgrade is less than what it was for the first 15 levels, the higher level cap ensures enough extra damage. Similarly, the tumblers can be leveled up further in NG+. After the 8th charge, instead of adding another charge, the tumblers increase the HP recovery amount. Although the upgrading abilities might dwindle, these upgrades are very useful and players shouldn't skip them in NG+.

8 Get Drone Upgrades

Eve's Best Friend

With all categories getting exclusive upgrades for New Game Plus, the Drone also gets new modules unlocked after finishing the base game. Eve uses the drone for a variety of things, like scanning the environment, hacking into chests or using it as an offensive weapon.

The second run unlocks a variety of modules. Players diving into NG+ should take a look at them, as some modules can be extremely useful. One example is the Quick Charge Module, which reduces the charge time for the rail gun, making it easier to use. While these upgrade modules come at a high cost, they pay off nicely once invested.

9 Find Body and Beta Cores

Pushing Beyond The Boundaries

Eve Taking Body Core to increase max HP from the corpse

Playing as Eve, players start off the game with a small amount of HP and Beta Gauge. As they progress, players can find Body and Beta cores. Eve requires three of each to permanently increase her HP and Beta Gauge.

Players can increase both of the stats up to six times on their first run, but it doesn’t stop here. Players can find more of these Body and Beta cores on their NG+ playthrough to further increase the maximum HP and Beta Gauge. Seek these glowing cores on Eve's new playthrough.
