One of the best things about Steam is the online retailer’s frequent and generous sales. Between regular sales, Seasonal Sales, and Publisher’s Weekends, PC gamers have plenty of opportunities to find big savings on many great Steam games.

Unsurprisingly, many PC gamers prefer holding off a few months before dropping $60, or the local equivalent, on a new game. On the other hand, it can be hard to know precisely how long the wait will be. Fortunately for Steam users, recent leaks posted on fan-run website Steamdb offer an idea of when the next sales might begin.

The first up is Valve’s second annual Steam Digital Tabletop Fest, hosted by Auroch Digital. Steam bills the event as a “multi-day celebration of tabletop gaming” and promises both live streaming events and featured discounts. Valve has not yet confirmed which other developers are participating, as registration is still open for eligible partners. This year will focus on tabletop RPGs, though the featured games are still to be determined. The Steam Digital Tabletop Fest and its accompanying sale run from October 21st to 25th. Fans can check out an unofficial countdown timer on Steamdb.info.

The Steam Digital Tabletop Fest is the only upcoming sale confirmed by Valve. However, Steamdb also lists three other unconfirmed sales in 2021. Valve has not confirmed any of the dates provided, so gamers should take the following information with a grain of salt. According to Steamdb, the Halloween sale begins October 28th and runs through November 1st. Again, there’s no information on exactly which titles players can snag at a reduced price. However, horror game fans should look forward to the end of October.

Up next is the Autumn Sale beginning November 24th and running through the end of the month. It’s followed by the Winter sale starting December 22nd. It runs through Christmas and New Year’s, ending on January 5th, 2022. Once again, there is currently no further information available. Fans should expect substantial discounts on many games, but anything beyond that would be speculation. Still, those upcoming sales sound like a great way to snag some new games for next year.

In addition to seasonal and holiday sales, PC gamers also have Steam’s October Next fest to look forward to. The event begins on October 1st and runs through October 7th. While not a sale exactly, it is an excellent opportunity for players to check out free demos of upcoming indie games. Registration is open now for Steamworks developers in good standing. Steam will most likely provide more information they've finalized a list of playable demos.
