Steam users have until May 30 to snag Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War for free. May 2024 has proven to be a particularly busy month when it comes to free Steam games. Besides Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War, Steam users have had three other games to claim completely free of charge.
Earlier in the month, Steam users were able to claim 100% Orange Juice and Endless Legend for free, with the games available until May 22 and May 23, respectively. Puzzle game Machinika Museum is still free on Steam at the time of this writing, and it will remain free until May 27. Steam users that were vigilant about claiming all the free games this month should already have these three games in their digital libraries, and now they have yet another one to add to their growing collection.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War is free on Steam until May 30. A turn-based 4X strategy game based on the popular Warhammer 40K franchise, Gladius - Relics of War was originally released in 2018. It earned somewhat mixed reviews from critics, but was far better received by fans. The game has a Very Positive overall rating on Steam with over 10,000 user reviews counted, and a Mostly Positive rating when only accounting for recent reviews. The game typically retails for $39.99, so Steam users should be sure to grab it for free while they still can.

Some PC gamers may already have access to Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War. As some may recall, Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War was free on the Epic Games Store in 2023. While there are some Steam users who refuse to use the Epic Games Store, those with both platforms are able to amass a sizable collection of free games.
In fact, PC gamers with the Epic Games Store launcher have an additional free game to download right now. From now until May 30, Farming Simulator 22 is free on the Epic Games Store as part of the launcher's latest free mystery game promotion. Farming Simulator 22 will be replaced by a new free mystery game on May 30, but that title has yet to be revealed. However, according to a reliable leaker, the EGS free mystery game for May 30 will be Chivalry 2.
