A Starfield player has utilized the game's impressive physics to steal a bunch of credits in the game without getting caught. Like past Bethesda games, Starfield lets players steal pretty much anything that isn't nailed down if they so desire. And also like past Bethesda games, almost every item in Starfield has its own physics and can be manipulated individually by players and other characters in the game.

Starfield players have done all kinds of ridiculous things with the game's physics so far. One of the most notable examples is the Starfield player who collected a bunch of potatoes, put them all in a room, and then opened the door to show how they all react realistically thanks to their individual physics.

While Starfield's physics can be manipulated for amusing viral clips, they can also be used for players to steal things in the game without being caught. For example, Starfield player MrJsingh found a gambling table with a bunch of credits sitting on top of it. Normally, grabbing the credits would trigger nearby NPCs to become upset at the player character, potentially even attacking them or alerting the authorities. However, MrJsingh got around this by grabbing an item and using it to drag the credits into a basket on the floor. They then took the basket to a secluded location, allowing them to steal the credits without getting caught.

There are definitely more efficient ways of making money fast in Starfield, but this is certainly one of the more creative methods that have been shared by the game's community so far. And now that Starfield is officially out of early access and is enjoying its full release, chances are good that even more wild clips of players doing tricks with the game's physics will be posted by fans online.

This unique method of stealing is something Starfield players should keep in mind as they're exploring the game world, but they should note a classic Bethesda thievery method doesn't work in the new game. In Skyrim, players were able to place buckets on NPC's heads and effectively eliminate their line of sight, making it possible to rob them without them being wise to it. It's still possible to put buckets on NPC heads in Starfield, but it doesn't have the same effect as in Skyrim, meaning players can't do that and expect to steal everything in sight without any consequences. Moving forward, it will be interesting to see what other creative ways Starfield players come up with when it comes to stealing items in the game.

Starfield is out now for PC and Xbox Series X.
