Starfield has been a great source of impressive fan tributes, and now one player has skillfully recreated Starscream’s iconic jet mode from Transformers. Bethesda’s latest first-person RPG has been very successful since it launched on PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles back in September, and a strong factor in this is the large amount of freedom it gives players to explore the far reaches of space however they see fit. This includes Starfield’s in-depth spaceship customization suite, which allows players to build their own vessel either from scratch or by modifying an existing design.

As it tends to go with games that let players build whatever they want, fans have used this ship-crafting mechanic to remake their favorite ships from games, TV shows, and movies in Starfield. Some prime examples of these inspirations are the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, the Planet Express from Futurama, and even the USS Enterprise of Star Trek fame. Given that the ever-popular Transformers franchise has its own roots in space travel, it would only be a matter of time before a Starfield player designed their custom craft after one of the legendary robots in disguise.

Starfield Player Builds Incredible Galaxy Express Locomotive

Trains in space are a fascination for many a ship builder in Starfield's community, and one player shares one of the best locomotive designs yet.

That player would be Reddit user arpexio, and that robot would be none other than the infamous Decepticon schemer Starscream. Arpexio recolored their F-14A Tomcat-inspired Starfield ship in the iconic gray, red, blue, and yellow paint job of Starscream’s original Transformers G1 incarnation at the suggestion of their friends and shared the result on r/Starfield. Other users were quick to praise them for their work in repainting their ship, even if a few pointed out that Starscream was technically an F-15 Eagle rather than a F-14A Tomcat. Additionally, arpexio mistakenly included a photo of a Jetfire figure as a reference, something they playfully owned up to in the comments section.

As any die-hard Transformers fan would attest, Starscream is one of the most recognizable villains of the original G1 era. He primarily serves as second-in-command to the evil Megatron within the Decepticon army, but he often dreams of overthrowing his thankless leader and ruling Cybertron himself. Starscream has been both an enemy and playable character in several Transformers video games, and it is believed that he will return in the upcoming Transformers: Reactivate.

Gamers have paid tribute to the Transformers franchise and its many iconic characters in various ways, from decorating their PS5 consoles in the colors of the sinister Decepticon faction to building Autobot-inspired mechs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Now the dreaded Starscream is roaming the cosmos in Starfield, no doubt in search of a way to usurp Megatron and take his place as the would-be conqueror of Cybertron.

Starfield is available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
